Do hunting horn mains exist?

I've seen a whopping two HH players online, and I pretty much SOS all the time (inb4 hurr hurr only scrubs play online).

HH mains are like an endangered species.

Most people don't play hunting horn due to the complexity of the note patterns. They usually go for unga bunga charge blade or weaboo sword

I mean, I don't main it but I play a fair bit of it (I try to balance all of my weapon usages). It's so satisfying to encore songs right into monsters' faces.

They do, but HH was always the least popular weapon in every Monster Hunter game. I use it ones in a while, but not a main user of the weapon

On topic, i don't main HH anymore because i'm playing all of the for a while otherwise i would be bored. Whoever i played the entire tri u and fu only using HH, that was the only weapon i wanted back then.
HH is endangered species because the weapon sucks, it always sucked tho. People don't play it
not because it's hard, far from that, HH is maybe the easiest weapon to understand in the game even more in world that you don't need to memorize all the songs anymore. People don't play it because it a super slow weapon that don't exceed in anything, you can do better with any other weapons and we all know people want that high dps.

Also, if you're into HH go look for a guy named くえ(QuA), this guy basically represents the 1%. :)

Unfortunately, no, I WISH people wanted high DPS in World.

Hunting Horn is the only weapon I am really good at, though I dont play online much unless its with friends.

Too many see it as a 'useless' weapon and are wanting DPS weapons

Hunting horn main here! Nobody likes to play support roles in games, so the Hunting Horn isn't very popular to play, but honestly, everyone likes having one most of the time, since they make everybody stronger, and can grant a lot of armor skill type effects that people normally wouldn't have often.

Obviously if you're playing solo other weapons will usually do better since the palico doesn't put out much damage. But in a group, HH is amazing and totally underrated in the community.

I think they meant the weapon itself, not the wielders. i.e. Players choosing to use other weapons over it.

My personal gripe with the horn is that to me (likely from lack of practice/experience) it feels like pretty much every swing I'm gambling that I'll either flinch/stun/KO the monster or get clobbered before I can dodge out, especially for Recital and Encore attacks.
