best bet is just join any investigations involving monsters that drop em and go for a capture. its a grind but its fairly easy.

Just do a high rank Investigation with Wyvern monster., preferably one with some gold rewards Barroth is probably the quickest and easiest.

wildspire bolero is a nice quest for wyvern gems, because it has 3 monster in it, which can drop gems and these monster have lowered hp pools.

it will be available in 2 days during the festival

Try doing investigations, specifically ones containing one or more Wyvern Gem dropping monsters, preferably with 4 boxes for rewards with as many gold ones as possible.

Go one step further if you want and wear 2 pieces of Legiana armour and 3 pieces of Kirin armour so you maximise rewards, break every part of the monsters you fight, sever and carve any tails, and then capture them.

You'll get your Wyvern Gems in no time at all.

Failing that, meld them with a Wyverian Print, although that's heartily not recommended, at least not for something as common as that.

What this guy said, here. Although I'd like to add that doing Paolumu, Pukei, and Tobi (if you have the patience for him), along with Barroth, are also good to get wyvern gems from. Go break some heads and tails.

I dunno, if you've got at least one aquatic jewel, I'd say jyura is the easiest source of wyvern gems. The stupid fish barely moves most of the time.

yeah hes by far the easiest. i think his drop chance is either less or equivalent too.

i like to try and get quests that have both of em in it and start turf wars whenever possible. it might not be efficient but i love watching their battle...

Personally I recommend either HR Tobi or HR Barroth investigations.

They're the two weakest monsters that drop Wyvern gems, and the drop rate from quest rewards is no worse than it is for tougher monsters like HR Dioblos.

Gold rewards have a 16% chance, Silver rewards have an 8% chance, capture has a 2% chance, and your Palico's Plunderblade has a 2% chance per use.

The Legania set's Good Luck bonus does boost the drop rate slightly, but I'm not sure by how much.

This.

Usually I farm wyvern gem along with Diablos / Black Diablos, because these monsters also have their hard to get material that you cannot get from the alchemist old woman. By the time I get enough their high grade horn, I will have lots of wyvern gem as well.

You might want to also farm along with some useful augment material such as plate / gem from anjanath / odogaron / legiana / rathalos. But don't expect them to show you easy time.

Hunt those monster that people in here suggested. Also to add something break all the breakable parts of those monsters and capture the monsters increase chances of getting the rewards you want ( 3 from breakable parts and 4 or 5 from capturing , so basically 7 or 8 rewards from these parts alone) oh yeah go for shorter time quest (15 min with one faint )

make weekly quest and earn golden print. use this item and write which one your need gem.
