i just now solo him for the first time, 24mins playing unoptimally. used that build above. i should have used dragon piercer more often, it does mad damage on him.
to the others, feel free to mock my build. i built it myself and i took it down within 5 attempts. 2 attempts using that build.
Melee definitively not sucks for the fight, you just need to focus on the front paws. You can do great dps numbers attacking the right (easy to reach) spot.
If you cant counter the roars and that belly fall attack, you will need, as meele, earplugs and tremor resistance, or trade those 2 for evade window for evading the roar and the tremor attacks. I can with 100% sure say, that you dont need those things for charged blade and long sword, because of their counter attack oriented nature.
