i'm around hr 12 what insect glaive should i go for?

i use datura blade and windchopper III, attack charm, zorah set and attack charm. what should a change and work for?

the jho insect glaive is a pretty good one until you get the lunastra ruin glaive.

for kinsect any fast one will do to get your buffs but psuedocath is generally what people go for since it also comes with blast which can get some bonus damage in if you let it keep attacking after you got your buffs.

the other "good" insect glaives are mostly locked behind the kulve taroth siege or so not really an option right now.

personally i did my first run with insect glaive and just go down ore then spilt off to nergigante when you can or go for all the elements as insect glaives do get heavly affected by elements

insect glaive should technically be good with element but unfortunately it suffers the same issues as lance in that the elemental insect glaives just arent good enough to compete until you get kjarr insect glaive from kulve.

until you get the kjarr weapons, the go to raw damage insect glaives just simply hit harder while also being easier to get than a bunch of elemental glaives. you simply end up going out of your way to wear bad rath armor and do less damage to get some special effects when you hit something.

The deviljho IG is extremely good and is unlockable as early as HR 13. After you beat the story the lunastra IG Ruin is better against dragon resistant monsters like odogaron.

If you're really dedicated to the best, you can get a Kjarr glaive of every element from arch tempered kulve taroth but that's a long grind.

Diablos glaive with some jewels investement (more raw, infinite sharpness when you sharpen) allows you to reach incredible raw levels with the IG.

Same goes with a lot of Blos weapons anyway.

Nergi's IG, deviljgo's IG, diablos one is good but its kinda hard to make a good built with it since u need various type n amt of jewels.

Blos IG is pretty bad though unlike other weapon's Blos options. Ruin outdamages Blos with few Blast procs and is much more consistent. Blos has 10 hits white with 3 MM dependency etc. If you drop to blue you do less damage than some random Styx set, don't even bother with Blos IG.
