Can mods get you banned?

Hi,

so far nobody has been banned, at least not me nor did i hear from anyone ; i am using , item light pillars , sound mods and transmog =)

I'm thinking of using a mod that can change my name, wonder if there's anything wrong with that.

The only mod im using is one that changes the button promts to playstation, I am to used to a controller for MH, and the xbox ABXY are reverse of the nintendo ABXY which i am used to, so it was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me all up.

Never heard of anyone getting banned and those you use seem fine, I also use Smart and lightpillars. There were some issues with mods that change ur appearance causing disconnections but I don't rly use those so I can't say 100% if true.
One note of warning if you or anyone is tempted to fire "one shot" I believe is called mod. If you're struggling and there is literally no chance of you defeating a monster otherwise and get those mats for gear, fine do it but do it solo. Don't bring this into the online gameplay. It obviously sucks and even though there are no bans per se you will most likely be blocked by everyone that sees you use that.

This is true. I prefer my game vanilla and modless, and will auto-leave a team with someone who uses that crap.
Had a Kulve run where someone got "Damage Dealer" in the hundreds of thousands because of infinite spareshot mods and no recoil, similar idea to the 1-shot mod in my opinion.

Food Vouchers, grind them for hours and tell me it's enjoyable or fulfilling. I wouldn't mind it if the monsters would change and the rewards be greater, but even if you speedrun that in 1min 20s to 40s you still have to calculate the I think 60s for the quest to finish, then loading times between getting back to the hub and starting loading back into the quest. Though it doesn't justify it but they cost 5000 zenny, so they're not cheap and hunting online got more enjoyable for me, both in regard of comfort and max deeeeeps, gave me also a reason to max my canteen - as almost nobody uses them I also feel better providing others with food buffs when I join SoS, start SoS or am in my own or others lobbies, for ex. Kulve, Behemoth or Ancient Leshen. But yeah, going for everything is rather pointless, except you get your stuff back from your console save when you move to the pc and don't feel like grinding everything you grinded for back.

To get back to the topic, until this day there are no reports of anyone that has been banned. The only exception might be people that use trainers/ one shot mods, as you can report them through steam and that rightfully - What's the point of joining Ex/Behemoth, AL, AT KT and one shot them, you'll only annoy people.

+1 MHW is a game about skill and if you need to CHEAT then MHW is not the game for you

As far as steam is concerned, there is very little they should care about cause you cheated in a random game among their millions they publish so veru unlikely you'll get a VAC ban no matter how much ppl report yoy for cheating in this game.

As far as capcom is concerned, unless they do take a stance, there is absolutely zero they can do about it atm unless capcom personally asks steam to ban you which again is 1 cheater among millions, so doubt they would care on that front.
