ME AND MY BRO HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR OVER 3 HOURS AND STILL HAVEN'T FOUND ONE!! we've been going from rotten vale checking both the mosswines, and the gastodon in elders recess!!! and literally its like it doesn't exist!! i just want da smol pair kiwi bird lookin thing in my life...

i also miss only one fish since month until i have captured every endemic life the
Giant Golden Fry and the game also trolls me that he is never there

3 hours...I believe it took me almost a week to find that bristyle cake, we'r unlucky people. Instead of focusing to find that cake, maybe just try to check him out when u only got a quest in rotten vale.

heh...
it took me 2 weeks of checkin in every mission to get the tiny birds that group up in the back of the aptonoth and the apceros
just dont let the game drive you crazy, luckily, they are not that important ( only for the achievement )
once you capture one, they will show up more commonly.

There was once one "Qurupeco Bro" who couldn't get Qurupeco beaks to drop in MH3. Someone ran the numbers of how unlikely it was for how many times they had hunted and it turned out to be 1 in 67 billion or something, concluding that their copy of the game was broken in some way (a 'call function' or something?).

Did they try breaking it's beak? Also, quru gear beyond the weapons didn't do much on anything except maybe barroth

The great thing about PC is that it loads areas super fast. So just keep going on expeditions until you find one.

Oh it takes awhile... It took me several days to get it to finally spawn... it's all RNG man, you just gotta make sure you meet the requirements every time...

one thing to keep in mind is that you need the ghillie mantle early to get anywhere near it, they will often start running before you even get a chance to see them if you are in their general area.

had one on the elder recess riding a gastodon in the lava section with the ledges and nitro toads, i was at the mandragora and that bird was already running off to give an idea of their visual range.

i found the ancient fish and this birb thingy while farming lavashit during the event. just start at the fish camp and slide down the path towards lavashit via the bettle wedge outside so you come accross the gastodons aswell. got 8 birbs and 13 ancient fish while farming the lavashit. got zero handicraft decos tough....

this will make your run like 1 minute longer on average (if one of them spawns again you get free chunk of research points so its worth it for haveing like 2 minute longer run still when one appears)

so just combine the deco bs farming with this. you hit 2 flys with 1 stone basically.

BRUH, i found 2 bristlys! the first one i had to do a quest before it.. just an idea my bro had, then the second one i caught i was looking for a petriacanth, so i decided to check the mosswine, and there was another one!! :D

btw @coffee i have a goal in the game, my goal is to get all the pets XP btw just beat the main story yesterday ^-^

I got the prism hercudrome, the pilot hair, the downy crake, the bristly crake, etc, all i want now is a petriacanth and ill be happy... i want all the rare pets!!! XD
