Farming Warrior/Hero Streamstones

After all this time playing, I am still struggling to get Warrior and Hero Streamstones at a constent rate. Is therea any factor on tmpered investigatios that may increase the chance of getting streamstones? Are there any events that may grant those as well?

I have a lot new of Gunlances to augment so I need help on getting streamstones more consistently

Seems you didn't read what I wrote. I am askin if there is any way for tempered investigations to give streamstones more often. Today I did like 10 tempered investigations and none of them gave me any streamstones, and I think I may be doing something wrong with the investigations I am takin (I know there are temepered elder BTW)

I don't believe there's any reliable method to increase your chances of getting streamstones, even the specific Event quests like Relish the Moment kinda sucks unless you get lucky with a nice capture, etc.

Perhaps wearing a mixture of Kirin and Legiana gear, or Guild Cross / Gala Suit and hoping the bonus triggers more stones, while using a lucky voucher? Dunno.

The only suggestion I can offer really is kill your braincells grinding Arch Tempered Zorah Magdaros, or do lots and lots of HR30 Tempered Investigations (Radobaan + Odogaron and Legiana are good, easy choices)

in my experience i've received the best rewards, most consistently from smashing tempered elders. get that solo kill time to around 5 minutes and you'll see more of those streamstones for sure.

T2 seems more efficient, but it doesn't net you any gleaming streamstones (req for R8 augs), so be sure to at least balance T2 and T3 hunts =p

Hhhmm I see, gues we are al screwed with RNG, I can try using Kirin against AT Jho or just simply get the Guild Crosss set but might do more arenas for that (and those arenas are really painfull). Good idea about AT Zora, will try it since you just need heeavy artillery and you're done

??? Tempered what? Threat 2? Threat 3? Also AT Event != Tempered Invesigations, so I don’t think YOU read.

If you want streamstones, then your best options are tempered elders, arch tempered elders, or tempered jho, but the very best option is probably tempered threat 3.

I got most sullied / shining streamstone from event quest(s) dedicated for it. I probably didn't do tempered investigation for sullied / shining streamstone quite some time already, usually just as time killing quest alternative to hr 29 dual T bazel / hr49 T kirin.

Relish the moment - T deviljho
The thronetaker - T nergigante / T teostra / T lunastra

Basically these two. Other than that,
Any event quest with AT version of elder dragon
Event quest - A visitor from eorzea
Optional quest - The sapphire star's guidance

Yes I notice that investigation quest never give multiple elder dragons quest, not even the normal elder dragon, not even mixing with non-elder dragon.

It is all RNG..sometime i got hero streamstones on Tempered 2 , some on Tempered 3, find a tempered elder dragon that you can hunt effectively lower than 5 mins

Tier 3 investigations have the highest chance to give weapon streamstones. Also the obvious more boxes = extra chance for weapon streamstones. ATs are still better and more consistent though.

That would be Kushala, Vall and Nerg for me, but don't have investigations for them ATM. Kinda sucks thet even unlocking investigations of the monsters you want is also RNG baaes. All the eled invstiations I unlocked were Teo and Luna :/

You know currently there is an event quest "Tracking the delivery" got about 20++ tracks of tempered Elder, easy 3,4 Investigations Unlock. *9 Quests, no monster Hunting just gather tracks and beryl, also if you want t1 and t2 monsters , "A simple task" Event Quest

No. I mean I went for months without getting any then suddenly got loads of them. It's completely random. The only thing you can do is go for events that drop more items. By default dropping more items has a greater change of dropping more stones.

Only fight Tempered Elder Dragons aka Threat Level 3 tempered.

If streamstones are what you want, do that.


I wouldn't recommend fighting the arch tempered version with no augmentation or even the tempered deviljho. So, just do threat level 3s.


If you want decorations then do threat level 2 because drop rates for decos are higher on 2 than 3. Whereas drop rates for streamstones are higher on 3 than 2.

Ignore threat level 1s. They are not worth it due to their drop table.

Yeah, I was loking on hter sites and there's no way to up the chances of streamstones, just diongg investigations and hope you get them sadly

So I am in the way to farm good investgations (3-4 rewadrs) and pray for Lance Streamstones
