This will never happen but a dedicated photo mode
Can easily add a hundred hours to this game. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beautiful game with amazing details and animations and a photo mode will do it proper justice.

Basically, nvidia ansel?

Ansel only adds filters to the game. Can't manipulate the camera. But yeah, full Ansel integration would do.

I wish, Dragons Dogma had a screenshot mode that paused the game, removed the HUD, and gave you limited free camera including being able to anchor to other nearby monsters, made for amazing screenshot potential as well as a nice way to examine each monster and take in the design, etc.

MHW operates on a system where you can't pause / freeze the game though, so we'll probably never see anything like that, sadly. The final mission screenshots are a nice treat, but sometimes they're blurry and oversatured with effects so an otherwise great shot can be ruined, which sucks a bit.

Wish there was a limited Theatre mode for the game, that let you save a hunt to watch again, with free camera, speed settings etc, just like Halo had / has, etc. But alas.

Those rare moments when you hit the perfect hit, like true Greatsword slashing a Rathalos in the face as it dives through the air towards you, knocking it down - or Wyrmstaking Nergigante in the side of the head as he jumps across the arena, knocking him down etc. Lost in the moment :steamsad:

A replay mode like that would be seriously awesome. I think technically it should be doable though. There are just so many awesome screenshot possibilities, Turf Wars and Luna and Teo bond for example ;-;

Yea, would love if they add photo mode in iceborne.

Haha, I think this post was made before they announced Photo Mode in Iceborne.

Lol there is a photo mode

The photo mode in iceborne isn't made for making high quality images in the middle of the action. It's a gameplay feature, for taking actual images of the gameplay it doesn't do anything better than your normal steam screenshots.

But yeah, this will never happen.

Yes there is. But this post was made back in May, before photo mode was talked about.

What a shame. It's a bigger deal than people might think. Just because of the photo mode in SOTTR, I was able to take such fancy screenshots: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1721679649

Yeah but something is better than nothing. But since it's online, real time pausing won't be possible. Maybe somewhere down the line, they can introduce a replay feature which can save hunts and we can watch them later. And move cameras around and all that.
