MHW operates on a system where you can't pause / freeze the game though, so we'll probably never see anything like that, sadly. The final mission screenshots are a nice treat, but sometimes they're blurry and oversatured with effects so an otherwise great shot can be ruined, which sucks a bit.
Wish there was a limited Theatre mode for the game, that let you save a hunt to watch again, with free camera, speed settings etc, just like Halo had / has, etc. But alas.
Those rare moments when you hit the perfect hit, like true Greatsword slashing a Rathalos in the face as it dives through the air towards you, knocking it down - or Wyrmstaking Nergigante in the side of the head as he jumps across the arena, knocking him down etc. Lost in the moment
But yeah, this will never happen.
What a shame. It's a bigger deal than people might think. Just because of the photo mode in SOTTR, I was able to take such fancy screenshots: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1721679649
Yeah but something is better than nothing. But since it's online, real time pausing won't be possible. Maybe somewhere down the line, they can introduce a replay feature which can save hunts and we can watch them later. And move cameras around and all that.
