Need a good guide for killing the Lunastra?

Need some good recommedations for armor and weapons for killing the Lunastra? I don't have any jewels such as expert, tenderizer, or critical. Any suggestions, Help?

Lunastra is a fight which defensive skills can be just as important as offensive ones. If you lack the deco needed for a more offensive build you can greatly lower her difficulty if you take Earplugs and Wind Resistance. Have enough Fire Resist on your armor to be above 20 and you'll negate any Burn DOT. Drink a Cold Drink so the blue patches along the ground won't hurt you. When she does her Super Nova, just spam the Superman Dive. Bring Astara Jerky with you and any red damage accumulated from her Super Nova can be healed immediately.

This will overall lower her difficulty significantly enough that you can kill her with pretty much any weapon. Anything more is just learning her moveset.

Draw out her nova with a flash pod when her flames are at max level. Be sure to make some distance since it has a large aoe. While she novas you can sharpen, reload, apply buffs or heal.

She's easier with non-commiting weapons. Lugging heavy weapons around while trying to walk out of the flames ain't fun. Light bowgun, dual blades, long swords, hunting horns, and such are the way to go. If you're going to melee, even though her head is weak, stay around hindlegs and trip her, then smash her face and shred her wings when she's down. The hind legs are the only safe spots around her at close range. She can't whip you with her loooonnng tail or burn you with her breath. Her flames sweep and hit close to the head, unlike Toasters with safe zones in extremely close proximity.

Pick up a slinger HBG with low recoil and gg. The fastet and safest way possibile.

If someone asks for advice fighting a monster they aren't asking for a Cluster build. We all already know Clusterscrub builds are the best. Hell, the grandmother of people who don't even know what Monster Hunter is knows how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ broken Clusterscrub builds are.

Well he didn't ask for a specific weap nor build. And since he doesn't have good jewels the Cluster set fits perfectly:

- It's easy to make.
- Doesn't require hard to farm jewels
- it's not locked to a specific monster.

Ever heard of Occam's razor? If he ask how to kill Luna it's cause he doesn't know of cluster set

This is a judgement free zone. She doesn't change at all in AT, but she certainly didn't need to. lol

[Washing Machine]

Think of it as Teostra that chugged down 50 gallons of Dash Juice. Hitboxes are way bigger and she won't stop doing stuff and running everywhere.

On plus side, she's fairly easy to knock down, I look at it as a "bully or get bullied" -fight.

luna survival set : 3 kushal pieces, 1 piece with 2 earplug + earplug charm, optionally kulve Y greaves, vit x3 / fire res x3

luna extermination set : above set + kjarr ice cb

to be honest, using this set takes the fun, but facing her normally is really frustrating
