nekker is not spawning

any ideas? it'S night time, witcher quest completed. anything im doing wrong?

It's not 100% guaranteed, but it is fairly common.

For what it's worth, I find them to spawn fairly frequently although not 100% going into a High Rank Expedition during the early night phase, near Camp 1, waiting for the Jagras to eat an Aptonoth and then running right to the nest before he gets there, putting on a Ghillie Mantle along the way, and then I hide in one of the bushes closest to where he regurgitates the meat.

Seems like, 75% of the time a Nekker will spawn from near the entrance and rush right on over.

If only the Blooming Cactuar was that easy

Nekker has a 12% spawn rate.

Are you using any mods that affect endemic life? Daveurrr's Endemic Quality mod prevents Nekker spawns unless you use the updated version as of yesterday.

Not sure what else to say other than hard luck

Some people reported that they had to exhaust all of the Endemic Life Researchers dialogue during the quest before the Nekker bounty popped up for them, so maybe the Nekker also cannot be found until that has been done? Could try doing that and seeing if it starts appearing afterwards, etc?

Its fairly easy. Start the optional HR quest "Hard to Swallow". Let the Great Jagras bring the Aptonoth in his lair where he feeds the small jagras (while using the Ghilie Mantle). The nekker will be there and also eat the Aptonoth before the small jagras so be quick to actually cap him

i did this several times. maybe i just need to retry a few times or i need all of the endemic life researchers

forgott to mention that it has to be night time. So just start and leave quests till dusk is falling

You sure it's only 12% chance? I caught 4 of them almost back to back, during night visits, one didn't spawn on the final run because I think it was very close to dawn at that point, so I had to wait another cycle before catching the 5th, etc. They seem fairly common, just not 100%?

Also you don't seem to need any more than 2, possibly 3, to trigger the effect, so 5 was overkill. I can't even remember where I got the whole "needing 5" part from, actually.
