Is tempered Deviljho worth fighting?
I realized after my most recent Jho hunts that regular Jho can barely even scratch me now. Not only am I really good at dodging most of his attacks (except for that godforsaken tail whip), but since I have augmented armor, any damage I do take is easily healed off by my weapon's life regen augments.

Is it worth fighting tempered Jho so I can get materials for Jho weapons and stream stones at the same time?

(Also, I'm disappointed the quest isn't called Jho Jho's Bizarre Adventure. That would have been perfect.)

Not really, from what I heard.

According to what I read, he doesn't really provide significant boost to streamstone drop rate.

He is however a pretty big challenge for non-shield users because he hits like an atomic truck (with fully augmented armor on) and can combo non-stop.

I would've preferred it was called "The Saltiest Pickle." I do believe they boosted his streamstone drop rates at some point but it's really more for the challenge.

Do it once for the challenge and never touch him again.

If you can do it consistently around 5-7 minute, it's definitely a good substitute for Tempered Elder farming (for the streamstones).

No , not really not worth it, better hunt tempered elder, can do 3 tempered elder = 1 tempered jho in term of time, based on my current skills. Jho have lots of health, 3 time more than tempered nergi. Just did it a couple of time to challenge myself

You should always capture Tempered Deviljho in any case. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes provided you're familiar with fighting him.

Anything is worth fighting if you have fun

fully geared and augmented it can be a good challenge. He will combo you and the short moment will come when you realize you're pinned or cornered with a sliver of health, death blow incoming with nothing to save yourself. :-)

Meaning this ISNT really a reg t-jho, but in a term of AT-jho xD, cuz reg temps have reg life as well

Why not. I mean the point of the game is to fight stuff. Why not fight the meanest, baddest Deviljho. I did. Once. Just so I could say to myself that I had fought it!

Do it once just so you can tell your friends you witnessed the glorious ascension of the Golden Jho.

But then never do it again. The rewards aren't really anything special - like the quest "The Thronetaker" so the quest is more of a novelty thing than anything. It's easier and more fun to farm HR30 Tempered Investigations on stuff like Radobaan and Legiana if you want streamstones etc.

I'd say that other than purple investigation, usually weapon streamstone reward from AT or event T deviljho quest I've seen is always within 0~3 amount. The biggest reason to prefer AT farming is probably because you also get gleaming streamstone along.

Remember to bring adamant seed(s) and hardshell powder(s), especially for event T deviljho fight. The fight itself doesn't post too big threat until someone is being inflict with defense down. I have several time watch my defense with buff from 550+ drop to 350 +- from the defense down, and with defense that low probably score yourself an one shot carted in surprise. So be careful and help any unfortunate teammate that get caught into the apocalyptic defense down combo from deviljho.

Personally, I find he is on par with, if not harder than, most Arch Tempered Elder Dragons.

He just attacks nearly non-stop and has a ridiculously big hitbox. He likes to spin around too and that's pretty much a 360 degree attack with long radius.

Even with a lance, granted I'm not a lance main, I don't even feel safe with it especially if I need to sharpen or eat something.

The armor may be outdated since I took this when he first came out but you can see how often he hits in succession and how hard (granted, I may not have been wearing fully augmented armor):

it is sad that we haven't the collap quest "heart of the nora"
guess what is better than fighting one t jho right fighting the biggest and smallest t jho in one quest

it isn't really worth for streamstone farming because its hp pool is so huge you are better of fighting something like the thunderpony with a pretty small pool.

That's the moment, when you starts to appreciate farcaster, when death is just a half second away
