look at the guy on tthe right, idk what effect you call that, but it's blinding. I've asked this question probably 4 times now over the past year. Reshade has caused serious performance issues in every game I've ever used it. I'd like to believe there is a better solution. On some of these maps with the sunlight hitting some environments, I can't even see the monster. This is especially bad when fighting against AT Kirin.
I've turned off Fog, here's an example of how my character looks, which is a small sample of what I typically see in game.
so it's kind of hard to see, but if you zoom on the whites, you'll see they all emit a glow, this glow coalesces into some blinding color that can sort of fog up the entire area given the right conditions (like a direct light source).

By the way, if bright areas of your monitor are legitimately uncomfortable to look at, you really need to turn down its brightness. You shouldn't be hurting your eyes just by looking at the screen.
I was going to suggest that to you, HDR profile number 4 the brightness is very toned down.
What monster is that? Is it from the next expansion?
A long time ago, I emailed Capcom's support team about adding an option to remove bloom. I hate the effect and hope it won't be a problem with all the snow in Iceborne.
That sandy area in the Coral Highlands (where Legiana first appears in, immediately to the left of the second camp), is blindingly bloomy.
