Just try to time it when u know the monster isn't moving
Honestly it's best not used much if at all because your sword mode will make the best of your amped state, but if you do want to use it (it's kinda great for removing tails, after all) try to use it only when a monster is otherwise occupied, or knocked down. It's a very good move to use when you see combat end and thus know a monster is leaving the area, since you can tag it and follow it out while doing damage, often times stunning and preventing it from leaving.
ZSM is good to use if your Sword Form is about to run out, a finisher for when your Amped State runs out, or as a latch for when the monster leaves the area. In some cases, it can do 600+ damage, but this is super rare.
The uncharged version is pretty good to charge up the sword tho.
Thanks for the tips
also I did say pseudo mount at the end, referring to this not actually being a mount
The clutch claw is exactly the same.
This is true.
