Report a translation problem
The biggest difference compared to a game like Dark Souls is in Dark Souls your character will always face whatever you're locked on to automatically. In MH the camera may face the monster but your character will not. You have to turn the camera manually which will be awkward depending how the camera is moving. It's better to just manage it yourself than try to depend on the lock-on.
People who are actually decent at Souls games do not lock-on either. Just fyi.

Don't rely on it too much, sure, but it's not that awful either.
