Mega Dash Juice in MHW ?!!

Today in a very crowded session, i asks everyone in session if they can beat me in arm wrestling. So, it's very crowded in there because everyone is participating. I announced that if they can beat me in arm wrestling, i'll give them max potions.

But, there's also someone said if i could win the arm wrestling, he/she will give me Mega Dash Juice. I thought he/she was joking and maybe i thought that he means Dash Juice (the normal ones). So, i won the arm wrestling and he/she really gave me Mega Dash Juice..

The Mega Dash Juice item description is "Lets you dash without tiring for longer than regular dash juice does." I mean i played this game since the first release on PC and never noticed this item.. I've search everything about this item in internet and I've found discussion about Mega Dash Juice in around Sept 2018. I saw the comments that this item didn't exist in MHW.

So, my question is, is he/she cheating to get this item? Will it be okay if i keep this item?

According to this it looks like the item may have been planned at some point during development but then cut for one reason or another. Probably a guy modded in a shop where you can buy all items and the mod includes items that are in the programming but unobtainable through normal means.

This means that you can have the item w/o it affecting your save, because it is programmed in to be an item, but since they are impossible to get through normal means you should not have access to it (all conjecture, no formal or professional knowledge, I am not liable for any corrupted save data).

the item shop cheat mod lets you get these types of items that are in the files but arent actually available ingame. its the same method people used to get AT armor pieces early. if you look through screen shots of the mod you will notice question mark items and decos which are the unavailable items.

I've seen the site too, yeah I think they modded this item.. Kinda scared to keep this item IF it will affect my inventory though..

Yes, i have seen someone using Blossom Layered armor after 1 month MHW released on PC. I know that layered armor doesn't even exist because there's no AT Kirin at that time. I wonder if it's okay to keep this item in my inventory?

Yeah, Mega Dash Juice is the only non-standard item that appears on list 1 of the All Items in Shop Mod - I never dared buy it though - the icon looks like a barrel with a giant question mark over it, so I figured it was a dummied-out item that might not even work properly.

Not only that, but you could run maxium might without any downside. That'd be broken and dope.

i would get rid of the item since it doesnt really have a purpose. because its not an ingame item they dont really have a reason to update or fix any problems that it might have or get with an upcoming patch.

my estimate is that 99% that its perfectly safe if you didnt have a problem right off the bat.

1% that either that trying to use it will cause a bug or crash. or that a future update might make the item invisible or uninteractable in the future taking away a slot.

this is based on past knowledge on mods in other games and issues that some people had with getting armor early causing crashes when an update removed files. personally i have no idea how items respond to this kind of thing.

I mean, you could just wait for a hunt you want to use it on like AT nerg or something, back up your save beforehand, and then pop it for the hunt and see what happens. It probably works just fine, since it sounds like regular dash juice with one or two numbers changed in the code.

Mega Dash Juice is in the files and works fine, but Dash Juice as a whole works differently than it has in past games; Dash Juice just restores stamina fast, Mega restores it faster and causes stamina to drop more slowly

Literally no one has said it's not a cheat, but it's used to speed up the process of gathering for 600+ hours for potions and such

not an argument. also who needs 600 hours to farm potions when the game tosses em at you?
speeding up things is also cheating in the end, doesnt matter. adding items in this game kinda defeats the point of playing it in the first place. ill never get people who do that for games like this. may aswell stop playing then. when you have every item you ever wanted whats the point in playing?
