I have the previous sword and i've got the mats and the money to upgrade it. I don't understand.

I think you're in the Forge Weapon window. Make sure you're using the Upgrade Weapon window when upgrading a weapon.

you might need to upgrade your weapon to the one you want before you can craft duplicates. it looks like its one of the craftable weapons (thicker boarders) so that is the only thing i can think of that would restrict it.

Okay, my bad. In the upgrade menu, i didn't chose the good sword. Hehe, i'm ok now.
