Good Hammer Builds

I'm looking for some good hammer build ideas. I have no idea where to begin with the new skill system. No Drachen though. It may be the actual best, but I refuse to use it for the sake of it making the game too easy.

I have a lot of fun KOing things constantly so some diablo parts are cool. Other than that just get some weakness exploit or something, after KOing something the next best thing is unga bunga seeing big numbers light up all fun-like.

If you're not looking for something like that then try and make some element hammer builds even though they wouldn't be the best, just for the sake of variety. Maybe a paralysis hammer so you can a monster crowd controlled for most of the fight just for fun.

As a Hammer main, I can suggest to have the Slugger Skill always, nothing like a good KO, why not make it easier? And your build will mostly orientate around your weapon, but you're generally gonna stay near raw damage. Good weps for that is Devil Crush and Diablos Shatterer.

Why not use a bad hammer build? After all drachen makes the game toooooooo easy right? Use iron hammer 1 with the honey hunter perk, though that perk can be seen as OP.

this was meta before drachen or any of the arch tempered came out. you can use it as a template for your non masters touch build. 3 piece xeno y is pretty efficient since it comes with crit boost 2 and good deco slots for customization.

it aint masters touch, but its got razor sharp and handicraft 3 so you get 140 hits of white sharpness. and its got 3 large decos for you to do whatever you want. feel free to mess around.

if 140 white sharpness is way too sharp for you to handle, heres one with hasten recovery bonus instead of razor sharp.

if you absolutely do not want to use drachen armor set but still want master's touch. heres a 3 piece kaiser set bonus that comes with it. has 100% affinity and tons of free deco slot for you to do whatever you want.

if you want something with training wheels, heres a set that makes you nearly unkillable. pop an immunizer and you are ready to go.

I just use this whenever I feel like whacking something. Feel free to tell me where I've gone wrong or how I can improve it, if you want. I don't tend to care much about having to sharpen something, considering the Taroth Sleep has a sizable chunk of white anyway.

I've tried Razor Sharp, Protective Polish and even Masters Touch (Drachen and Teo Y) but it just kinda felt meh so I just use this. Stun Resistance 3 because it's my crutch, and Free Meal because without it I don't like using Mega Demondrugs / Armourskins on anything but Tempered Elder Dragons.

It has 50% resting Affinity assuming your stamina is full, and 100% when you smash a monster in the head. No Masters Touch, as mentioned - I'm not the kind of person who minds dipping into blue sharpness, etc.

You don't need the drachen or the teostra set bonus, the taroth hammer sleep has a ridiculous ammount of white sharpness.

Honestly I think the reason you don't want to use drachen is because you can't kill behemoth, he isn't that hard and you don't even have to kill him to get the full set.

i mean, using drachen is basically proving to yourself and others you dont know how to make a real build and are too bad to not use a crutch. hope it gets nerfed into the ground.

If you know so much about builds, show me a good one you made, that uses no drachen xeno y armor, or teo y. If the reason you think the armor is op is because of the skills other than masters touch or razor sharp, than that means you think deco farming is fun.

Try a CC hammer build : para hammer with para attack+critical status, slugger, stamina thief etc.
