What is required for Radobaan grinding?

I've made it my personal goal to get a full set of Radobaan armor, but the materials seem a bit troubling. I've always used my hunting horn, but some ingredients might require me to cut off the tail. I'd prefer to stick to my horn, but if I can't, what weapon should I use?

Don't grind for armor in low rank

im guessing still early game? a bowgun is usually pretty effective against him, pierce shots ruin his day while hes rolling around. and a HBG with a shield can tank most all of what he can throw at you. find a decent one with slicing shot and you could cut his tail off with that solo.

otherwise, pretty much any blade weapon with a good reach would work.

This. Grinding for armor in low rank is pretty useless. Low rank nothing matters really. It's been that way forever in the series. Just get decent defense and try to get to high rank.

If this is for HR, then yeah, you'll need to switch to a cutting weapon or get someone to help I believe.

Your best bet if you don't want to switch weapons is get some investigations tails can be part of the rewards there :)

Join investigations or call an SOS flare.

Someone with a blade will join you.

Type in chat with "Insert" button and say that you need a tail nicely.

Someone will cut it off for you.

Shoulda specified this, but I already know that low rank armor is useless. I'm just going to use this armor until I'm in high rank.

boomerang can be bought from the item shop in astera. at this point its more of a joke but it does do cutting damage when thrown so there are some people that pack it jsut to help with adding cutting damage when their weapon cannot.

that or to show off and get the tail cut with it after the LS and GS guy put so much effort into it.
