I'm new to this game and I just hit HR 14 earlier in the day and I'm going to assume that I most likely won't be able to solo it yet. What I wanted to know was for when the time comes, how should I prepare for the event. Like which armour is good for it and which weapon is safe/reliable. so I can start farming right away.

Just pick whatever weapon you are good with.
The monsters come after each other, not at the same time.
It will be like doing 4 hunts in a row with reduced monster health pools.
If you can beat those monsters on their own, you can beat this event too.

From what I read online all the monsters seem to be enraged. Is there anything specific that changes or are they just more aggressive?

Enraged monsters are usually faster and more aggressive.
It happens in normal hunts too. While fighting a monster, there is an eye on the monster icon on the minimap. If it is yellow it is not enraged, if it is red it is enraged.

Oh yeah, fire resistance works very well in the event, and dont forget to bring something against bleeding status.

So if I bring the Zorah armour I have that should be pretty good against it right? Or do I need something with a little more to offer?

Zorah armor is fine I think.
If you can beat Teostra with it, you'll be fine.

Ah ok I see. I'll do a little more research to see if there is anything else I should be thinking about before I jump into it. Thanks for your help.

Mainly prepare for the Teostra, it's by far the most dangerous (it's an Elder Dragon after all). Which means, Fire resist, save your flashpods for its fight, and an Ice Weapon is a good idea for fast-hitting weapons.

The event is not that hard, since you fight each monster one at a time, and I believe they share health, so each one is a weaker version than when you fight them in regular investigations. If you can solo Teostra reliably, you'll probably be ok, and will most likely even find this Teostra quite easier (lower thresholds, lower health overall).

Edit : you can also plant Mega-barrel bombs right in front of the gate where the Teostra will come from (same gate as the Odogaron), free damage is free!

be sure to gear for fire res, bring jerky for the bleed, and herbal for the poison. really not too hard of a quest if you can solo Teo

you deal with odie first, then anja, rath then finally teo, you have 50 minutes for the whole thing so its plenty of time, just be sure to bring all the parts to make potions as well as potions since you cant restock once you enter the map.

Bring the fireproof mantle for the Teostra, since he puts you on fire all the time, this will help a bunch

It's just a bunch of cannon fodder.
Anja is anja, rath gets introduced to the floor a lot with flashpods, odo should be something you have learned to deal with at that point and teo can't find you if you hide in his mane and keep slapping his face.

The hard part comes after the teostra when you realize RNGesus has decided not to give you any red orbs.
