Help Nergigante Gold Crown!!

How can i obtain it!!! I've killed this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like 200 times with gold investigations and nothing!!!

There is a mod that shows which crown you will get, so you can just drop the mission if you're not getting the one you want. If you're desperate to get the achievement this will save an enormous amount of time

I had the same tough luck with black diablos until I realized my mistake.
To obtain a gold crown (small or large) you need to do investigations with at least one silver AND one gold.
Once I did this it only took me maybe 20 hunts maximum. Before I was so foolish and joined optional quests with other people or "wrong" investigations. Happy hunting!

I already know that, i've done like 50 investigations like that with Nergigante and still nothing

Just wait for Capcom to realize how busted the RNG in this game is. Then wait for them to create an event that helps you nab gold crowns much more easily.

You know, like they did with the Greatest Jagras, Lavasioth, and some of the other guys on the roster.

There's actually two quests with automatic gold crown jagras. Greatest Jagras obviously, and the low rank USJ event where you fight three Jagras, which also helpfully has a mini.

Are you sure? I've farmed all the gamma armor and still don't have all the gold crowns for the elders.

Make sure you are doing the correct investigations.
two gold box one bronze= 3% crown
any combo gold silver = 3% crown
four + purple box = 6% crown

also try to do investigations that have 1 death or 15 min time limit. those have higher chance of getting crowns, especially if its tempered

Yeah, there are times where the monster is generally larger in those quests.

Larger can just be silver crowns, not giant crowns.

You just have to farm him. Investigations work - I got mine after like 120 kills, simply by joining someones silver / bronze Investigation once out of boredom.

Then I joined someone elses Vaal Hazak on the very next quest and he was a Mini Crown. Both crown achievements unlocked back to back, feels good but bad because it honestly felt like it cheapened the whole mass hunting I had been doing lol.

All that's left to complete my current log is Deviljho, and he's being incredibly illusive. You can get a guaranteed Mini Crown Deviljho in the Greatest Jagras quest, but I'm not sure if he has a guaranted Gold Crown anywhere. At least he can be stunlocked easily enough because of his anger-counter technique.

Also I don't believe Arch Tempered monsters are Gold Crown. They seem to be set in stone with a bigger than average but not quite Silver / Gold crown, but I can't confirm that I guess for sure. It's just what I think. Seems like they'd make it fair and the size set in stone for each run.

You can get Tempered investigations from 'em though, which can definitely aid in your ability to keep grinding out for the crowns that way.

Hopefully you're not one of those lame "snipers" who measure the monster or simply use a mod to see their crown status and just leave each time you join and there's no crown. That's kinda lame, at least to me.

Can't wait for Iceborne! Endemic life are getting crowns too! Remember that rare Great Fish you spent hours looking for? Now enjoy trying to catch a Mini and Gold crown version of it! YAY!
