Before AT people said this same thing about regular tempered. I think this boils down to if you want to do AT with skilled people, maybe don't send an open invite to every person playing.
Organize a group of friends and form up before starting the mission.
Rinse and repeat.
as for "multiplayer fun". i doubt any1 would care if an SoS run fails if they already have everything they needed. the ones who complain usually are the ones who can't solo it, can't farm it efficiently, or some elitist expecting SoS reinforcements to all be as "Elite".
I may or may not be able to solo AT Xeno, but do I care? No, I hate soloing and would rather do everything with a group.
I guess I'm not allowed to join AT quests.
But then again I'm HR 999 SO...
If you need help, at least learn the monster patterns and make a build that gives you more survivability, like having health boost 3, max augmented armor and good elemental def if fighting a monster that attacks with element. It's useless to use a meta build if you can't keep yourself alive.
I have lost count of how many failed AT Nergs I got by joining random SoS calls with people getting killed because after being thrown into the ground they immediately stand up just to get hit by the following punch from Nerg. All they have to do is staying on the floor until they actually see Nerg going elsewhere, but no, they must immediately stand up, clueless as to how Nergigante fights, just to get killed.
Another situation is AT Nerg roar followed by the dive. If you can't position yourself correctly, at least make sure you have a build that can sheath weapon fast enough so you can dive, or that can guard it so you don't get one-shotted.
SoS to get help is fine, but players need to use more brain instead of copying meta builds and hope for miracles.
JK but your point is pretty backwards though. The system is there so people can get help hunting a monster they dont think they can beat on their own.
sometimes it is better to instantly stand up and sometimes it is better to wait, but you often still end in a following attack, if your team doesn't react to the situation and uses healing powder or slinger ammo to distract the enemy.
I had this situations often enough in at or behemoth fights where you wait on the the ground and get killed by the following attack in the moment you are forced to stand up, if your team fails to let the monsters flinch, distract them or simply heals the victim.
Says the person that can't spell 'your self'.
