Stop joining AT sos if you can't solo the AT monster urself
I cannot believe how many people are doing it, they join SoS and get their ♥♥♥♥ kicked outta them by the monster and running around trying to heal for 90% of the time, while having the monster running everywhere chasing after them which makes it extremely difficult for me to do damage.

That's also why I'm not as motivated as before to help with SoS quests, oftentimes I see some SoS quest with close to 10min quest time and the host is still alone, and right after I join, there will be another 2 players(most likely low HR) joining shortly after because they see my relatively high HR and come in for the free kill, and they are also struggling with the monster themselves so they do what I said in the beginning and make the monster kite me like crazy.

Stop with the idea of "Oh a high HR player is sending SoS, I'll just join and play defensively and try not to die so I can let the high HR dude carry me for the rewards/tickets"

These player also do stuff like shooting crystal blast at AT nerg randomly and make me miss my CB gp and I get hit and nearly carted because of that

Wtf are you doing in other people's SoS hunt when you haven't even beat the monster by your self?

I don't care if you do that with Tempred or any difficulty below Tempered, but for AT, seriously, don't think about it.

High HR players don't have the obligation to carry you, also even if they want, they most likely won't be able to carry you to hunt AT monsters

Have some self awareness

If you want help, post quest yourself and send SoS flare, or come to the forum and ask nicely if a group of skilled players is willing to carry you to hunt AT monsters. People will help, I will help, gladly.

Also, for new players, you can start the chat by pressing "INS" the key above "Delete" and maybe say thanks to the people helping you after your SoS hunt

Before AT people said this same thing about regular tempered. I think this boils down to if you want to do AT with skilled people, maybe don't send an open invite to every person playing.

Organize a group of friends and form up before starting the mission. :mhwgood:

OP is just a new player wanting to get carried by other players via SoS. Let him be. He will eventually learn how to solo AT's and then he won't have to fire a single flare.

Then join some multiplayer fun, find someone sos an at, join and get wiped or better yet don't.
Rinse and repeat.

That's a swear
nope feeling not hurt. just saying that the rule needs to be applied both ways if thats the case. if it applies to only the joiners, then the one firing the SoS and can't solo it is worse than the ones who join. this is like when unattractive women standards for men are so high yet she herself never put in the effort in her health, hygiene, appearance, or character. you do not want to be that person.

as for "multiplayer fun". i doubt any1 would care if an SoS run fails if they already have everything they needed. the ones who complain usually are the ones who can't solo it, can't farm it efficiently, or some elitist expecting SoS reinforcements to all be as "Elite".

Not everyone likes soloing.

I may or may not be able to solo AT Xeno, but do I care? No, I hate soloing and would rather do everything with a group.

I guess I'm not allowed to join AT quests.

But then again I'm HR 999 SO...

SoS is perfectly fine to get help against a monster you can't (yet) beat solo. The problem is people who call SoS or join one, knowing they can't beat the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ monster solo and go with meta builds fully focused on damage without learning the basic attack patterns of the monster they are fighting. They will cart often and make everyone waste their times due to sheer stupidity.

If you need help, at least learn the monster patterns and make a build that gives you more survivability, like having health boost 3, max augmented armor and good elemental def if fighting a monster that attacks with element. It's useless to use a meta build if you can't keep yourself alive.

I have lost count of how many failed AT Nergs I got by joining random SoS calls with people getting killed because after being thrown into the ground they immediately stand up just to get hit by the following punch from Nerg. All they have to do is staying on the floor until they actually see Nerg going elsewhere, but no, they must immediately stand up, clueless as to how Nergigante fights, just to get killed.
Another situation is AT Nerg roar followed by the dive. If you can't position yourself correctly, at least make sure you have a build that can sheath weapon fast enough so you can dive, or that can guard it so you don't get one-shotted.
SoS to get help is fine, but players need to use more brain instead of copying meta builds and hope for miracles.

Stop firing SOS flares if you can't solo the monster on your own. :p

JK but your point is pretty backwards though. The system is there so people can get help hunting a monster they dont think they can beat on their own.

nonsense This stuff is random and needs teamwork.
sometimes it is better to instantly stand up and sometimes it is better to wait, but you often still end in a following attack, if your team doesn't react to the situation and uses healing powder or slinger ammo to distract the enemy.

I had this situations often enough in at or behemoth fights where you wait on the the ground and get killed by the following attack in the moment you are forced to stand up, if your team fails to let the monsters flinch, distract them or simply heals the victim.

I always get some DB dudes (3 different ones yesterday) that love to cart 3 times on AT KT (mostly after the AOE fire spam). Just live with it

I usually only fire SOS if I want to share the tempered investigations out of courtesy. I don't even care if they cart honestly, I'll stick around because I know I can take them on my own. It's their loss if they were there for the money.

Says the person that can't spell 'your self'.

I thought firing an SOS was for needing help, and answering an SOS was for when you want to help. Why are people responding to SOS's for hunts that they need help with?? If you need help start the quest/event yourself and fire an SOS.
