I think I solved the issue, though. It occurred to me that I hadn't plugged my wired(USB) headset back in since taking my PC to my brother's place. This shouldn't matter; it makes no sense that not having this headset plugged in should affect -anything-. But I plugged it back in anyway.
It worked. My bluetoth audio devices now function properly while MHW is running, even if I start recording. Because computer logic. 🙄
So I guess if anyone else is having this issue and has a USB headset lying around, give it a shot, I guess.
Basically you can't have windows think you'll be using it as a calling device. It's better off to just use a dedicated wired headset.
The only wireless ones that work can bypass this with pairing to a special receiver. Those headsets aren't cheap though.
Satan - True, but it only happens with MHW, and only when I create or load a session. Otherwise, I wouldn't have posted it here in the MHW threads. Actually, I probably shouldn't have anyway. Sorry about that.
