Is the switch axe a good weapon? Or does it suck compared to other weapons?

I already explained that you don't judge how good weapon is based on how it performs in speedruns. You judge their design and how well they fit the game. I can't help you if you only care about the dps, in that case every single weapon is bad except the GS.

I am not trying to determine if the weapon is fun or good for the game, i'm trying to judge how good it is, and in that case dps and how long the combo is to dish it out is what matters. As for the greatsword being the only good weapon, that is a simple lie. One thing is that the greatsword is only good because of exploits, but to deny the power of the HBG is simply crazy. Also, when saying if a weapon is good or bad you compare it to other weapons. If one weapon towers above the rest that doesn't mean all other weapons are bad. It simply means that weapon is overpowered.

That's the speed runner comparison same as OP said those are bad because they rank last according to a speed runner not according how the weapons play
Edit: it just mean that to him the weapons is good if it dish out fast and high damage, doesn't matter about the rest or how bad is the control/performance of said weapon

In Frontier, there was a monster (cant remember it's name) in the tower, that if a player with said weapon could solo the fight, the weapon was good. Time did not matter. SA depend a lot on your ability to switch between form though, a bit hard to gasp it right but once you do it's a solid weapon that dish out constant heavy damage

SA is just not a top tier weapon, no matter the user, no matter how much some players love it. SA is mediocre and that's a fact.

No it doesn't, because monster hunter frontier is a different game. Also a weapon not doing a lot of damage (What you call time efficiency) while having NOTHING to make up for it is a bad weapon. Which is why the SA sucks.

SA's design is based on the fact it rewards you on more damage by dealing damage (aka rewards you for hitting the monster). You know, like what charge blade does.
