Research points gone?

so after not playing for about 2 weeks, i logged in today and had some fun. soon i realized that instead of my 200k research points i have only 19k now. i did not spend them on buying/upgrading anything. does anyone know what's the deal?? suddenly 90% of all the research points gone :(

Hm, perhaps it synced from your cloud save which had old data? If you aren't doing backups yet do so in case you even would lose your character you can always restore it(don't rely on cloud save): https://steamcommunity.com/app/582010/discussions/0/1745594817446599277/

everything else is there. currency/items quest progression etc. only the research points are gone! i think if it was a cloud issue everything else would be gone too

Yeah it would. Well strange, nobody else logged in and used it up then saved? :P

the thing is, even if somebody, or i even I tried to use them, it wouldn't be possible to spend that much! and even if it was possible, I would have SOMETHING for spending that much right?
I wrote an email to support, they asked for details, waiting for a reply

I had research points jumped from 1.6M to 150k couple weeks ago.

I seem to slowly gain RP, like every 6 quests I probably spend about 2000 RP on average, the fertiliser, tailraider safari and the Argosy takes its due, but I usually make all of that back within 6 quests thanks to bounties and whatever stuff is found in-quest, like I always look for the 500 RP Prism Hercudrome etc.

The only way I ever lose RP is when I help friends with Low Rank stuff and thus don't do any bounties, but I'm still paying out on the fertiliser and tailraider stuff.

To lose that much in one clump though, I can't see how unless there's some undocumented bug somewhere...I don't want to seem condescending, but are you sure you had 200,000 RP instead of 20,000 RP and it's now dropped to 19,000?

yes im sure i had that much cz i used it sparingly, no tailraiders, no argosy etc. and if i had only 20k instead of 200k, i would freak out and not spend at all :D i didnt even do most deliveries so i could save the RP for better stuff. its like i saved up money in the bank to get cool stuff later, then all the savings got stolen form the bank
