Question about MHGU/Nintendo Switch
Please forgive me, I know this is a little off-topic, but I know that the dedicated section of the community is not very active!

So yeah, Iceborne PC release date/gap will leave a Monster Hunter shaped hole in my daily routine, and I’m decided to get a Nintendo Switch just to play MHGU (I’ve played a lot of MHFU so I think I’ll like GU).

I noticed that the Switch only has 32GB of storage (and it’s shared with the system), so here I ask, do I need to get more storage to play (specifically) MHGU? I pretend to buy a physical copy of the game btw.
If yes, those class 10 sd cards that we use on smartphones will work?

Forgive me if my questions are dumb, I’m about to order stuff and I want to make sure it will work when it arrives xD I’m very excited to play it xD

You do not have to upgrade your storage if you intend to play MHGU only. However, I highly recommend that you do because of the other amazing games that the Switch has, including Breath of the Wild and Bayo 2.

Thank you! I’ll get the Switch and MHGU first, then I’ll definitely check Bayonetta 2 (I actually forgot about that one :O) and other cool games, so yeah, I’ll get a good microSD later on! Thanks :)

You are very welcome. I was actually in the exact same situation as you once lol. The Switch is fantastic.

i think i bought a 128GB drive for mine, the real thing to make sure of which will help you save on cost is get one that matches as close as possible to the Switch's read/write speeds for the Micro SD card slot. speed should be listed on the system specs for nintendo's website. just find a SD card that fits, and supports the same speed and your golden.

I had a lot of fun with MHGU too. I think you may find some frustrations with some of its older systems (lots of loading screens) after playing MHW, but it would worth it just to explore so much massive content in there.

its like people thought it was bad wingdraking into AT Xeno and getting exploded or lasered, imagine EVERY hunt that could possibly happen. (when online anyway.)

you won't really need if you only plan to get MH and physical to boot

howerer switch has some pretty nice game if you want to give it a try

a 128gb micro sd is cheap and will host quite a bit of digital games

for now the only digital game i have is bayonetta (1) and that's around 9 gb

so yeah for physical games you don't need that much

if you ever plan to get a bunch of digital ones you may consider 256 or above

I don't know if you have tried the God Eater games, but God Eater 3 is kind of similar to MH but different. It seems quite easier honestly, and there isn't as much depth as far as equipment upgrades, mostly just weapon trees and combo skills that you learn. Armor is all skins with no stats.

I haven't, thank you for the recommendation!
