easiest way to get negrigante horns?

i trying to upgrade my dual blades to diablos clubs 2 and i need 2 negrigante horns to make it but from what ive seen negrigante horn farming is very hard and i was wondering if anyone had any tips on getting negrigante horns.
P.S. this is my first monster hunter world game and i am not in endgame.

Break his horns when possible, and always run investigations for farming monster parts. There's really nothing else to be said.

Run an investigation, break both horns, equip the plunderblade for your palico and pray to rngsus. Cast out lootcifer if you suspect he has cursed you.

Also you shouldn't focus too much on RNG-based drops - it may result in disappointment and burnout. Don't farm the mob non-stop and try to do optional or event quests in between attempts.

Investigations are your best bet, with gold slots preferably; make sure to break it's horns (skills like partbreaker can help out), it has two horn breaks as well

i found that it's easier to break horn with charged blade AED, i even break it with only 2 AED in a row, but sometimes it's also RNG

Breaking his spikes all over his body if timed right will knock him down. Use that time to focus hitting his horns. I'm not sure if you need to break both but it's guaranteed Horn material if you broke it.

Use a lucky voucher, wear Gala or Guild Cross armour to activate the "Great Luck!" set bonus while also hosting your own session so you actually benefit from it. Make sure you break both of his horns during the fight, and also preferably make sure it's an Investigation with silver or gold boxes, as many as you can get on there (2 silver 2 gold is great!)

That's about it that I can think of. There's some janky stuff like using the Commission Guidance set bonus for +1 extra carve and seeing if you can get the Felyne Carver meal bonus (6 fresh "Perception" ingredients using a meal voucher) although this is probably going too far into the extremes here, lol.

use a hammer or the worse blunt weapon hh
use hbg spread shot or bow
use a gun with sticky 3 and use sleep ammo +bomb
(for example hbg from zorah or hbg from devil jho) havent so much experience with the lbgs but they would work too.

i find hammer and hbg spread(like nergi fusilate hbg if you have no glutton from kulve) is the easiest way to break his horns

Take the Nerg 'optional' quest.
Use a hammer with some destroyer skill.
Focus on its head, after breaking both its horns, go to option menu and select 'Return from Quest'. You'll get rewarded with a horn or two for breaking it.
This way, you wont have to waste time trying to kill it just for the horn.

Blunt weapons like the hammer or if you have the glutton combine it with the impact mantle and shatter his EFFING WORLD by shooting him in the face.

Recently, there have been many reports from monsters claiming that hunters shot tons sticky ammo into their faces. And the hospital is full of monsters waiting for face surgery.

what weapons are you using? you might wanna get part breaker in your setup or go lance / bow for that face hitting goodness. its not that hard once you get used to how it moves

As a fellow DB player, make sure you bring your Kadachi Claws as Nerg is weak to lightning. Bring some mega armorskin pots and you are gonna have to face tank him. Activate Demon mode (R. Trigger) and unload some furry on his face. You will see his horns start to Crack and eventually break but make sure to keep hitting them until they snap cuz they will heal and harden into black horns if you don't.

Edit: I think you can also get under his front legs and face forward to hit his face and horns and you can avoid some of his swipes. Just make sure to clear out of the way when he rears up for his massive slam.
