What is the optimal way of shooting a bow?

So, I've made most of the game firing my bow by alternating dashing and shooting.
Dash, shoot, dash, shoot, dash, shoot,....
to keep each shot at max charge.

But I've recently been told it's more optimal to just keep shooting.
shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot,...
Which goes through the three different charge levels alternatively.

Not considering the need to dodge the monster, which way is best? Is it different for DPS and applying status?

Sorry if I'm using the wrong terms here, hope my question is understandable.

A mix of dash dancing and your charge combos is going to be optimal. It really depends on how much stamina you have at the time you need to make that decision.

Dash dancing from what i've seen seems to be the most optimal method for you average hunts. If you can do the wall jump method on a monster and lock it down with that, it's that.

Just dash shoot dash shoot until monster KO. When he KO on the ground: spread - normal - power, normal, power. If u have some decent stamina still, can chain the rock shot and power. After that reset.

That's the usual way for max dps. You dont want to burn to 0 stamina n walk around. Haha.
