Clans, Guilds, Tribes?

So I'm not really a solo game person. Been enjoying the heck out of Dauntless because essentially you can just queue and boom group. Chat a little, get to know people, make friends, blah blah.

Enter MHW. OK, graphics, complexity, adorable cat pet... but I am honestly about to tap out because where is the multiplayer? I am hearing up to 100+ hours to get through the story just so I can get to real multiplayer. Not going to work. Been looking for a recruitment forum, not really seeing that. So the question is, are there the above? Where can we find them? If I join one can I multiplayer now without having to go out into the field and hope someone answers my flare? Chat also seems really overly complicated. I have to ESC to select chat from a sub menu and then I can only type like 40 characters? Doesn't seem like the game was built with communication outside of Discord in mind. Thanks for the info.

I have been watching it for about a week now. Seeing some people getting groups together but they all have been super end game farms. I am a new player. I am looking for groups that are willing to help new players or work with them to learn the fights. Have not seen that represented in that Discord. Is that the only place players can advertise? I am guessing then that clans and guilds do not exist in MHW.

Uh, just watching from the side lines wont get you anything; you have to post your own advert in LFG. Be proactive.

TBH, idk what to tell people if they need help in Low Rank, its basically "learn your weapon, here's a simple monster"

I'm doing a second save file and all the LR Diablos, Rathalos, Odo urgent SoS flares tell a different story lol. Joining with Diablos Wall I at 170 base raw and getting damage dealer card every hunt. These players need to help themselves and improve on their own instead of popping an SoS flare the instant they run into a "wall".

I wish the story and multiplayer were separate still, or a big pop up explaining the whole story is the tutorial.
