where to find early/mid game builds ?
i have find quite a bit of full builds ( most using behemoth armor ) but i am having trouble googling for builds that are used to kill behemoth or AT monsters for the gear in the first place. I have been using only gs bow since mh3u.

edit : could i get some links or directions where people post this stuff. have not find googling or searching reddit.

Most weapons have beginner sets in their albums.

Apart from that you get the idea which skills you'll need and then just use honey builder

Wow, i cant believe that im this blind to not notice a compilation post. I was looking for specific weapons post, but most where either outdated or only contained end game.

Thanks a ton.

Don't just restrict yourself to using specific builds though. Something I did when first starting was just look and see what skills they were using, then figure out the gear combo that worked for me. Some of my stuff was completely different, with the same or similar outcome, just in a more tailored combination. Getting a helm instead of legs might get you the same skills but with different decorations allowing different styles of play.

Builds don't really matter until late game. You can burn through low rank with little effort, and high rank doesn't need anything until a bit later to.

I hate shilling my own stuff, sorry about that. It's not a particularly very well fleshed out list or anything either, but I remember thinking it would be a good idea to note down the builds I used around the time Deviljho arrived. There might be something there you can use, I dunno.

There's not much there for the early game, but you don't really need a set for that, if you're talking about Low Rank. Typically you just make the most defensive armour you can get while in Low Rank, without caring much about the skills (although by all means hunt down useful ones like Stun Resistance and Health Boost if you like)

But builds in general don't come "alive" until you've unlocked charms and decorations, along with the High Rank armour.

I'm currently at 3 elder dragons story wise. Just doing the optional quests for completion as a break from story and completing elemental bows while using deviljho gs ( gonna get event when its available)

by saying early game i meant midish of high rank xD, i think of low rank as long tutorial you do with bone armor. Currently at the 3 elder dragon story wise just completing optionals as a break from story.

edit : atm using ratholos high rank without chest piece ( no luck getting gem to craft) as i have been using that as first blademaster armor since mh3u in every mh game due to weakness skill.

It's been so long I can't remember what kind of equipment you have available in mid-high rank. If you can push on a little further and slay Nergigante I believe you can craft the Dragonking Eyepatch, that's a pretty decent go-to head slot item, I'd say.

Otherwise uh, maybe Death Stench if you have the sinister cloth? The legs are pretty damn good, at least, if I recall. Rathalos chestplate I think has Weakness Exploit on it so it's a very good piece of gear too.

What about Bazelgeuse stuff? Can you kill a Bazelgeuse yet? You could wear the helmet and coil and become quite immune to roars, with the Rathalos body for the Weakness Exploit, and possibly the Death Stench Heel for some handicraft, and maybe Ingot gauntlets for Health Boost?

I don't really know. You're mostly going to be hobo clown suiting until you've killed every monster at least once, I guess. Or yeah you can do the cheap thing everyone does and just rush to Behemoth and Palarang him until you can make a full set of Drachen and then never wear anything else because blech.

here's my guide for some of the builds i came up with. most of them are end game but there are some mid game build inside. i would also recommend you to experiment and see what build works for you

Monster Hunter fans are generally nice :steamhappy: at least until you mention longsword tripping, cluster bombs in multiplayer, life powder and so on.

I like to think we're all friends though :steammocking:
