but i guess they've put MH on the new level of marketing, which also impact gameplay not just story. they even decided not to call it 'Monster Hunter 5' but instead go with the current one. they even said they don't want MHW to depend much on older ones.
why? well, because it attracts more customers. all the old fans will like it old ways, difficult and stuff, including me. they made it more 'casual' to play, say, chillshroom in front of volcano cave and scoutfly. i believe same goes for the story as well for this reason. they need this cliche drama to fill some space, which is not well executed but pretty understandable.
say, go easy on her, eh?
Subjective and largely depends on how old you mean, 'cause I've played quite a bit of 3U and it's pretty awful. The lack of hand holding is great, quite a few aspects of the combat and some of the monsters are not.
Still planning on getting GU at some point though.
Also I guess more fun to play is not really a valid argument , not even for me since I did enjoy world for the most part. I just wish there was an option to completely skip / disable the story.
From my understanding the whole problem is that in previous games, which I didn’t play, the women doing her job were always very beautiful, being some kind of masturbatory sweetheart to many. While she has no attractiveness, she is also not ugly. Although there is some room to speculate that she was done that way, devoid of feminine sexiness, just because the game was made to be sold also in the West and they thought that we all follow the same feminist moralism about sexuality being “objectification” and people are fed up of trying to consume something artistic to be given a piece of political propaganda.
Said that, judging the character alone, by herself, I can see no flaw in her. She works a lot, so I see no problem in she saying that “we did it”, when she is there on the camp keeping it organized. She is also not a ♥♥♥♥♥, I like that she is optimistic instead of the kind of woman that is always complaining and putting flaws in everything. She is not annoying also, I never heard she saying something that wasn’t the absolute factual truth. Even if you fail many times she never criticizes you, not even our mom is like that.
What shocks me is MHW was meant to have a story slant, yet it doesn't make one at all in a effective manner. It's a little disheartening. I am used to far better writing by my japanese counterparts.
(40 second mark)
At least she only says it once..all hail Monster Hunter language!
Playing through the Witcher assignment with English language on just so Geralt could woo me with his gruffness was the hardest quest I've done, simply because of her dialogue in it.
This[www.nexusmods.com] helps moderately, minimum makeup option. Pair with summer outfit for maximum appeal.
I hated her in the story cause i needed to rush it so she would shut up, but after that, she became a somewhat ok character. Don't know about "we can do it" stuff, i don't care
In prev games handlers did nothing but give you quests and saying some useful or funny stuff (world's handler says non of it). And, more importantly, they were not voiced and didn't scream in your ears one line 50+ times and tutorials for braindead
