Why does Final Fantasy music still play?

Why does Final Fantasy music still play after beating the Special Assignment against Behemoth?
Do you have to beat the optional and the extreme later to make it go away? I had to use a mod to fix Astera music, cuz that FF town music was horrendous and the fail music is really obnoxious as well to keep hearing trying to do Behemoth optional.

I think it should stop once you've finished the questline. Have you witnessed the cutscene showing that little squinty eyed floating thing going home? The music should stop after that, right?

You have to do He Taketh It with His Eyes, Legendary Beast is just prequest for the one where you gotta kill him. Don't gotta do Extreme.

I did do He Taketh It with His Eyes aka the Special Assignment i was referring to. The crossover story ended with the moogle went home. Does FF music just always play in Behemoth missions then?

sounds like it might be a bug, i've heard a few times people got stuck with the town music for no apparent reason despite finishing the story.

Well I don't have to deal with the town music anymore, I got rid of it with a mod as soon as I realized town started having a very different song. But I am still getting the lame music that plays during a fail.

The behemoth quest always has that music, even after you beat it.

I guess I can understand that. But I still have the FF music during fails playing still

If you're not above it, you can install a oneshot mod, solo him and be done with that quest instead of getting lucky and finding a team that kinda knows what it's doing just so the music goes away.
Don't carve him and sell all the rewards if you don't want a fast pass to that.
Capcom really messed that one up.

You haven't read any of the posts. I already said I completed the FF story, it's just bugged and the music won't go away.

Sounds like an issue with mods. Get rid of them and test with a clean install.
