Change character (and possibly palico) name when?

So... We all know there's no way to change character or palico names in mhw

But I've heard rumors that if there's enough support around the issue, Capcom will make something to allow you to change said names

I dunno about everyone else but I'd personally pay to have my name changed at this point cause I'm to far in the game to restart now.

I don't even have it that bad with my character name being Aris but I still think it's not that great of a name. I'd hate to be the people that named their characters something as a joke and now have to walk around as ♥♥♥♥ mcbutt or something.

Am I the only one who at least wants some sort of option to change names?

there's an existing mod where you can change your name and appearance (also your cat). Just use it at your own discretion.

Thing is... you can't change your hunters or palicos name with it. Which is what op is talking about ^-^

Mods. The voucher doesn't change your name which is especially dumb, since you can change genders, and you can end up with a fully bearded manly man named Cynthia.

its not a mod, its a program that edit you save file.

right... im looking at the mod page and honestly i have no idea what half this stuff is but that just might be my adhd having problems with putting together long winded paregraphs. is there like a video tutorial somewhere on how to use the program?

you open the Programm. Search your SAVEDATA1000. http://prntscr.com/o1j0g9
click on your Character's Name http://prntscr.com/o1j0nv
then save your Changes, overwrite the Savefile

i already change my name several time. But dont change it more than twice in short of time. Bug will happen, but after a few hours the bug is gone.

the bug is your name only change for yourself, other will see your last edited name.
