Is he not around atm? I was told he was around all year but I can't specifically search for him anymore.

Ancient Leshen is an event quest, so you just have to wait for it to show up again. It's not available year round, just like the other event quests.

The normal mode is a permanent addition. The Ancient version is an event quest as maelynx said.

By normal, do you mean the one where you fight it alone as the Witcher? I assume so because I can't find any co-op mission for either of the Leshen quests.

It's a tough fight, so you may wanna put something together you think will greatly help while you wait for it to pop up on the list. Leshen is tanky, it's attacks have wonky timing and most of them have AoE. I built the below HH to tank Leshens attacks rather than trying to dodge them due to the HH's slow swing speed while also offering some nice buffs for the group. The fight is much easier if more than 1 person goes into it with the intent of healing others, either through Wide Range or Life Powder.

I like the Bazel horn because it allows for AuL, a boost to the parties natural regeneration which also stacks with the skills used above and when I'm actively attacking Leshen it's pretty easy to chain the Healing song as a little group buffer.
