Monster Hunter: World

Monster Hunter: World

Tigrex, Brachydios, Zinogre, Barioth, Fulgur Anjanath => Which will have most posts?
The question that the title poses is simple, of these Monsters, which are we likely to see the most of HunterAlert, "X is too strong, why is this monster soo hard to kill?"?

Will it be Fulgur Anjanath, the successor to Anjanath, but now with fast moving lightning aoe attacks

Tigrex, a relatively easy monster that you just don't walk in front of...

Brachydios, a Kangaroo on Steroids that will do its best to knock you out with explosive punches

Barioth, an Odogaron-speed (slow) moving monster, that can be reasonably dodged with impunity

Or, shall it be Zinogre, a monster most definitely weakest to Shock-traps (without a doubt, you should try it!)

NOTE:
Velkhana is likely to be highly requested as well, but realistically by the point that they arrive at Velkhana, they'll have found a carry group due to the previous monsters

We all know that the forum is going to be inundated with people asking for a carry, but, which Monster will be the most demanded?

In base MHW, I'd say the most demanded would be LR Anjanath, Nergigante, and then AT Xeno'Jiiva (in that order), though there are a significant number of REGULAR Behemoth, Extreme Behemoth, Leshen, and Ancient Leshen ones as well

It could be me, but did anyone else notice how Acidic Glavenus is much more "quiet" than its regular counterpart? Like in its intro it doesn't even roar at the hunter when it sees you. If that's a thing Capcom is going for (adding more personality to the subspecies), then I'm all for it.

But then again, it could be louder when you actually fight it.

Quest added: Shock and Awe.

Picture of a Zinogre as the target. What you think it means: aha I've finally unlocked Zinogre!

What it really means: As soon as you arrive you get the message Zinogre has left the locale. Then three Master-Tempered Master Rank Bazelgeuse immediately arrive. They're immune to dung pods and always know where you are.

You fight one of them while the other two constantly do bombing runs overhead raining down explosives, which are both bigger AoE and lots more of them - it's a literal carpet bomb run this time, they also explode as soon as they hit the ground and create temporary superheat floors.

Here comes the SHOCK, now feel the AWE!

New blight added! Shellshockblight! Getting hit by Bazelgeuse bombs now removes all sound and leaves a constant ringing in its place, along with blurry vision, for 60 seconds!

Just as you think it's over, when you kill the last Bazelgeuse, a rare Red Bazelgeuse enters the locale and starts swooping at you while firing the explosive breastbombs at you in huge raking bombing runs, like a machine gun. Smaller blasts, but much more of them!

That's because those are special quests. They're essentially g rank quests available in high rank. It's a common thing in previous games.

These three quests are normal high rank nargacugas that one shot you with the tail slam.
They are NOT special quests, as special quests must be unlocked and these are village quests.

Secrect Request: Nargacuga!
Assassin of the Jungle
Monster Hunter

There are two high rank ones in the guild hall are unlocked when you beat the secret request, but neither of them are special quests. The tail slam damage was just way to high in high rank.

Born of Darkness
Wyvern of the Wind
Oh right. I forgot about the village quests. It's been a while since I 100%'d P2G.
Brachydios AKA "Punch Daddy" is my vote but I'm more banking on Glavenus/Dinovaldo

"Spin-to-Win" was the noob/newbie crusher before we got his K-Mart Discount version in Anjanath.

I have definitley see more rage and carts surrounding anjanath than glavenus, I think glavenus's problem is that in generations, he was kind of slow. When you combine that with generally inaccurate attacks, well...

True but I saw more first time carts from the Tail Spin than any other monster.

Yeah Xilo that's what I would have liked too.

Quest "Thunderous Rumble in the Guilding Lands" as a nod towards Kirin. Quest giver asks if you want your Thunderproof Mantle enhanced, there's a thunder based monster causing some chaos down there, go and slay it and we'll make some new tools out of its bits.

The player expects a Kirin or maybe a Fulgur Anjanath. Instead they encounter a dead Kirin and a Rajang, or a dead Fulgur Anjanath and a Zinogre!

I mean everyone was braying at them for Zinogre so maybe not releasing a trailer with him in would have damaged the hype, but I don't think so. I just hope they've not popped their bolt with all the cool stuff and there's still plenty of hidden goodness left in it, like Bazelgeuse was for the initial release.

Because I remember the first time encountering Bazelgeuse. I always will. *shudder*

I can't remember now, but what happens if you join someone elses hunt wearing armour from a monster someone else hasn't killed? I remember seeing Xeno'jiiva gear on the PS4 worn by other players (it's hard not to noticing giant bright glowing blue trails, after all) but I never knew I could spy on their gear back then. Does it show up as ??? too?

If it doesn't stuff like a surprise Zinogre / Rajang / whatever would probably get spoiled very quickly anyway...unless you're a veteran and know the story is just the [singleplayer] tutorial and thus stay away from the SOS flare anyway, right?
First time I met the B-52 he freaking dive bombed me out of nowhere. I just heard a roar and I'm like "the hell is that monster roar?" then *Dead*

I am close to 100%, but the high rank special red fatalis quest is glitched for me. I kill fatalis, then i either have to abandon or wait for time up to fail me :/ quite a let down.

AHahahahaha...hahahah...haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah...hah...no it's not. This is coming from a guy who has LITERALLY spent 700+ hours of his time in MonHun Generations Ultimate fighting nothing but Glavenus. Glavenus is fast but he's not BS Nerg fast.

Some Glav facts for Iceborne:
During his lethal tailspin of F*ck everything around me in that one particular direction, you can stand under his left foot and it will completely miss you.

You can casually walk away unscathed from his double overhead slams. Expect a load of cheeky potion chugs.

His cheeky little tail slap can be rolled through, no evasion skills/mantles/temporal mantle needed.

There is a gap you can walk through between his legs while he's doing his little matchstrike tail thing that shoots fire.

When his throat is all glowy and flames spill from his mouth, throat punching him a couple times makes him go boom and fall over, dropping a material.

His tail has three states: Dull, Sharp, Spicy Sharp. Dull and Sharp state will only allow for a tail breakage. For the full sever his tail must be in the molten state. Caution is to be taken however as the severed tail can damage and knockback should it hit an unlucky hunter on the way down. I have died 3 times to that in G-Rank. Was not amused.

He doesn't like water. Filthy soap dodger.

His name is Ben and he is a Hoe
