any tips against elder dragons aura?
a way to deactivate it ?

  1. some weapons have a thing about it: i don't know the term in english.
  2. i notice sometimes this protective armor (by example the one of the teostra) deactivates: is it just something related to the monster aura skill (therefore it stops after a moment)or it's because of the damage dealt by the hunters broke it (with a weapon with no elder dragon thing) ?
  3. sticky and slicing ammo can go through auras ?

because i was shooting afflictions on the monster and i realized i was doing nothing^^: 0 exhaust damage, 0 poison damage.

Thanks

CC them by koing them.Avoid those areas ,but in general you want to avoid those spots ,since they have terrible Hzv (hitzonevalues) in most cases.

Yes you could use weapons with high elderseal ,hecc even use elderseal jewel to get it ,but the thing is it's basically "useless" for mp unless 4 players are using it Or you could use fireproof mantle to avoid teostra fire aura ,but you wont bypass his aura with projectiles , except a few of them.
For kushala use his set effect against him and NOT using those windproof decos. His aura is a different kind of wind, but in general you rather want to go range on him or grounddunk him.

Vaal Hazak Cleaner booster to get rid of the halved hp thingy or miasma deco's always 3 of them or Immunity Mantle or Nullberry does the job too, however against the ticking aura from at Vaal hazak you could use vaal hazak set effect , recovery up decos , hb3 (healthboost),Nergi/luna weapon and health augmentation to regain health and overkill his ticking aura.

Luna same as teo ,but i forgot to mention on teo you can fire res decos or eat for elemental res High to get rid of the burning from his/her attacks, but keep in mind you cant shoot at her with projectiles ,if the projectile has to bypass one of her firepools ,however a "tactical" flash could trigger a supernova and they would be gone ,but so does your teammates gets roasted ,if unprepared

Nergi aura is rather easy ,since it's his spike aura ,superman dive his dive attack or keep on breaking them.

Xeno idk what aura you mean there or if you included him too ,but for burning ground you could use Heat guard charm against him and you will laugh at his firepools and you basically eliminated the problem with his fire.I recommend to use the charm for AT xeno ,since it gives you still enough options to build a proper set with it ,without "wasting" too many deco slots.

i hoped this helps and answered your question.

Elder Dragon auras are weakened by using weapons with Elderseal, which are always Dragon element. As you attack with Elderseal weapons, you gradually weaken their aura, like applying a status effect.

None of the auras can stop you from dealing damage with ranged, only Nergi's might hinder damage if you shoot at his spikes instead of his face. Nergi and Kushala can hinder melee.

Nergi: Spike growth and black spikes
Teo and Luna: Flame dust and super explosion
Kirin: super thunder
Kushala: wind barrier
Vaal: toxic aura
Xeno: being angry

Those are the things you slowly weaken with Elderseal weaponry.

Elderseal temporarily seals the dragon's aura; Elderseal is on every dragon elemental weapon, and is applied with dragon element coatings and ammo, as well as dragon pods dropped by certain monsters;
Each aura deals the following:
Nergigante: causes spikes to harder and regrow faster
Kushala: causes "blackwind" aura, which causes blowback (this can also be nullified by kushala's armor effect)
Teostra/Lunastra: gain a heat aura which constantly causes damage over time
Kirin: gains a super charge for attacks
Vaal Hazak: Effluvium aura, which causes you to be effected by effluvium much faster
Xenojiiva: gets enraged more (isnt very present on normal xeno, but is a lot more prevalent with AT Xeno)
Kulve Taroth: I believe it causes her to mollify a lot more, but you should be using element on her more than dragon
Behemoth: causes instant enmity on whoever is using elder seal

While elderseal helps a lot, you dont need it to fight elders (tho on kush it's REALLY helpful), and dealing enough damage, or toppling, or flashing out of the air, or applying status effects (paralysis, sleep, etc) can get them out of the aura as well

I think it depends on where you shoot the ammo; I know aura can stop stop some ammo on anywhere that isnt the head or tail, but I dont use guns enough to confirm this

why does it's written 0 with poison and exhaust ammo when i shoot the Teostra when its aura is active then ?

when aura is inactive it show exhaust damage or poison: it's no more 0.

when the aura is active, the head or tail is still a good spot to hit. since you are playing range, you are suppose to hit those spots anyways depending if they are good hitzones for shot type damage.
