HR 11+ need info
SO i just unlocked high rank armor and i was wondering when i should actively start crafting(like farm monsters to gather up certain pieces) over just crafting with what i managed to get from each run .

Im using heavy and light bowgun(shattercryst and thunder blitz II) with a mix and match of random pieces i had materials for . And i havent ran into much trouble beside the occasional learning curve where i failed 1-2 times before success

EDIT: Special thanks to everyone else who answered

2. Do a few expiditions in all the maps you've unlocked to get all the new materials

That should prep you for to continue to just work your way through the story so you can uncap your Hunter Rank. You want to reach HR16 as soon as possible to get all the event items current available. Specifically Every Hunters Dream is a must.

3. For weapons upgrade them as you need them but I advise at this time to stick to one or two types so you can get to HR16 as fast as possible due to the festivals being available.

------------

Mainly focus on progressing story, only upgrade if you only need like 1 or 2 pieces. Don't actively farm.

As others have said Odo armor is a pretty good set. I personally went from my LR armor into Rathalos since the Crit element on it is great with certain weapons. LBG, DB and SnS especially.

------------

An alternative HR armor set is the Zorah Magdaros one. You get most of what you need just from completeing the quest the first time.

Is the appreciation fest still going on? If it is and you haven't blown all your tickets on low rank armors, you could craft a suit off those, it's not great but it will keep you from getting one shotted until you figure out what you want and get the parts to build it

Odogaron is a solid set till you can get access to the pieces you'll want.

beyond that farm the appreciation fest tickets, make the gala armor. you can thank me later.

aside from arch tempered and kulve gears, gala armor set is one of the more useful event armor sets. if you are wearing all 5 pieces, theres a chance you will get extra rewards upon completing a hunt. it also has lots of deco slots to customize for a decent farming build.

here is the set i use to farm food vouchers.

oh and completing the Witcher bonus content is also gonna reward you with a full armor set, again not the best but it has some solid survivability on it. only drawback is you have to walk around as geralt so mechanically, great but limited on vanity.

We're talking the low rank one here right ? Because i have no elder dragon bone or high commendation to craft the high rank one >.> But i do have 11 tickets .

Never craft low rank armor once you reach HR. There's no practical reason to.
