Uh, not quite as basic as that lol
The core aspect is the immersion of not knowing a monsters HP, you're hunting something that is supposed to have it's own life and behaviours. It isn't supposed to be a walking HP bar, and a lot of the systems in place hinge around not being able to see such a thing (e.g. Captures)
It has been core since the very first installment.
wrong,,,
"You can use any mods you like for the game, but it is at your own risk. If the mod only improves the graphics of the game and gives you no game play advantage, normally you should not be banned"
That was a official response you can see it here https://imgur.com/a/u17XLlD
You do it at your own risk but it does break TOS they could revoke your game license at any time for it. I did hear a rumours also they asked one mod developer to stop making updates for one mod trainer on nexus mods that was removed also randomly.
So take it as you will with a pinch of salt
But yeah use mods at your own risk
But up to this day, no one was banned in mhw,
altough some people use cheats / cheatmods like a boss
Don't listen to your friends, they sound like casuals.
The cheat you'd be using is way more of a pair of training wheels than simply seeing the monsters health. You're able to see things you shouldn't, such as break percentages and status thresholds. However, the most toxic thing this cheat offers is the option to post DPS. Posting DPS and health % is just an admittance of how pathetic a player you are and if you aren't wearing a generic cookie-cutter BS meta build and pulling your weight then chances are anyone who reads your tripe will feel like they are carrying your "MHW is my first MH" nooby ass.
In older games? I understand that it was an important mechanic, more of an immersion one than a ''core'' mechanic, because it seems you don't fully understand what a ''core mechanic'' means :).
But in World? Hell no, you literally just hit the thing and you see the skull floaiting in the minimap, even if he isn't limping.
So, talk for yourself instead of jumping into assumptions.
Sorry for taking away your immersion, you're free to ignore the minimap and enjoy the immersion the game offers, but the OP asked a very simple question and you guys jumped into him with open jaws as if he killed a puppy.
Answer what he asked, don't be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, mr ''veterans''.
Smart hunter it quite nice for training, training wheels are fitting term for it
Or for very casual hunting
