Do i need to buy iceborne before i can even install rajang update?

i dont have iceborne yet since i havent even completed the game, but it is limited i see so can i still download the update witrhout iceborne but not play it,

it would be sad if i HAVE to buy iceborne to get a limited boss fight :o

Yes it is part of iceborne, that means we get him in the early next year, cause pc release of iceborne is in january

yeah i know i have it on ps4 as well, but still not the iceborne expansion, but since everything is limited i would love to know if i can still download the updates without iceborne or do i have to buy iceborne before i can update itt

Most likely you'll have to download the update at the same time, once you unlocked Icenorne

So far i'm not aware of preloading content you have no access to is a thing right now.

Considering Rajang is a new monster he'll most likely be locked behind Master rank regardless.. Which means you need to have Iceborne anyways

I think you can play Rajang without having Iceborne, since it's just a seperate DLC event like RE2 colab.

This. The place where we'll fight him will also not be available if you don't have Iceborne.

Ehh, I didn't know about that. Haven't done any research about Iceborne since I don't want to spoil myself lol
But yeah lets see if they are going to make a separate version of Rajang for Iceborne and Non-Iceborne players or High rank/Master rank players. But I'm getting Iceborne anyway so I don't have to worry lmao

It won't be available for HR, they have no reason to do it that way.. Also he'll be in a zone from iceborne like someone mentioned

Oh yea every mhw players get the update at the same time since they can only upload one build per game.

There will be no update unless you have Iceborne.

You can download the update, but you'll need Iceborne to play it.

No, just no. There's not going to be a high rank Rajang. It's iceborne exclusive content.
