I personally use this one as general use IG.
Master's Touch is very common on melee critical build. This build does not contain weakness exploit, you can hit any part of the monster and still have 100% affinity as long as Maximum Might is in effect.
Aerial is a no no. Ground playstyle bring the best result out of this build. The Attack Charm III can be switched to something else, it is optional.
I hope you can learn to build your own IG build, after learning from many different public build.
Never trust the word "META", in my eyes it read as most-efficient-time-attack.
If you're looking for "best" builds, there they are:
Raw: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83oOSwmkkOQ
Elemental: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBJjgXuhJfc
Tips for better usage:
1. Focus on landing the finisher. It's that strong wide slash that you can end the combo with. It does the most damage so it's important to end your combos with it as many times as possible. You'll find that you can very easily create short 2-3 hit combos with it that you can sneak during short openings.
2. Delay your orange extract. It's good practice to grab red and white and hold it for as long as you can, then when you know they're running out you grab orange and go into tripple extract. This maximizes uptime of your buffs and minimizes maintenance required.
3. It's a good idea to animation cancel using the kinsect instead of a roll. With other weapons you generally use a roll to cancel out of the attack animations, like with a GS charge attack. With a kinsect glaive you can do that using the kinsect throw. It does the same thing as a roll: it skips the rest of the animation, it allows you to move faster, and it also has a similar amount of animation frames. However, you get the added benefit of getting a free extract. So, the absolutely optimal way to play is to send your kinsect in order to cancel the animation and grab an extract at the same time, it's a tough thing to get used to since your muscle memory will most likely tell you to roll out of your attacks, but when learned it really improves your efficiency since it allows for permanent red+white buffs with close to 0 time wasted on trying to get extract and not dealing damage.
4. Stay on the ground. Aerial attacks aren't very powerful and destroy your sharpness. Use aerial attacks to dodge, chase, or mount only. For dps, focus on ground combos.
That's the most important ones I can come up with, good luck out there.
Why not use something good like this https://honeyhunterworld.com/mhwb/?216,130,107,107,105,107,65,health,aff,0,32,0,0,57,5,5,32,0,0,90,90,0,90,0,0,32,0,0,3
Health augment, element, just better in every aspect. I've tried getting the Taroth Claw to work when I got it back then, it's just a direct downgrade from the Hazak glaive.
Or use Jho and go to town.
Lunastra counter build.
Do not grab red kinsect buff, no matter what!
You can grab white / orange kinsect buff as you see fit, or you can just battle lunastra without them.
The deal is simple, you spam airborne attack / [circle button ps]. Make sure you are hitting lunastra's wings, and you are good to go. I tested them just as joke idea build.
Surprisingly, it do so well and have been my sure go build for lunastra fight.
When I put that set together I was surprised to see it having higher raw than the Jho set, but only with Peak active. I probably won't use that set ever because if I wanted a Peak set Ruin is better than both anyway. It can also be altered to fit Luna y coil for mutiplayer which is nice.
Not having to rely on WEX with your set might be nice on bad hitzones. But for those matchups like Luna specialized counter builds are more effective. Kjarr Ice can hit like ~70% static crit and gets to 100% with Latent Power, easily tripping her legs for wing access.
Anyway, I like this one as it's effective and doesn't need a ton of attack decos or hundreds of hours of farming ATKT.

This is it.

I tried that on AT Nerg, but it's too much RNG whether you drop into blue before Latent Power activates. Ruin is stronger anyway, Diablos glaive is hot trash lol.
