Improve FPS
Hey,

Im playing on a gtx 1060 with 6 gb ram, a ryzen 7 2700x and 16gb of ram.
Im having about 50 fps when im playing on medium settings, is there any way to improve and will a RX580 perform better than mine?

Disable ansel/Disable the Nvidia Telemitry service in services (Disable>Stop>Restart PC)

Disable steam,Discord overlays.

Give or take you will gain like 2-4 fps.

Make sure Maximum performance is chosen in Nvidia CP for MHW.

Also drop volumetric to low or off/blurr off. Some of the settings on the lower end of the settings page can also be tuned down with minor visual impact.

This is a very demanding game.If you see console it can barely hold 20-25 fps sometimes.

I have a 1080TI/9900k and even I have to lower some settings.

Had a 1060 6gb with similar setup and i had trouble maintaining 60fps on high settings .

Switched to a 2070Super 8gb , runs like butter at 80-120fps with everything maxed out , texture & resolution pack andf 1440p .

For my 1060 i usually did lower the volume rendering option to low to have a stable game ,without the texture pack .
im not going to linked it but there are performance mods out there that improve FPS without hurting graphics too hard

with that said this game is very cpu heavy so a higher cpu clock speed would be better
The HD texture improved my fps (others had similar effect), could be a thing.

the thing about that is with the high res pack, you put more strain on the gpu and then it balances out

i honestly don't get it but it sort of shifts the bottleneck if that makes sense, i would still go with performance mods if that doesn't help

Change LOD Bias to Mid. It can help maintain a stable fps in many areas.

Try my best driver nvidia: 390.77

It works best for MHW on my PC. Lower cpu gpu use than newer driver. 398.36 and older are known to work well with MHW. The tell if a driver doesn't work well is if you go to forest area 1 on the wide area you will have big abnormal fps drop. My 1060 3gb doesn't drop there. If I set it to 60 fps, it will stay 60 fps there. Bad drivers will make it drop to 30-40 ish, i tried 3-4 version of those on my PC.

Spec: i7 3770, gtx 1060 3gb, 8gb ram, win7 sp1

Performance: at 1080p with volumetric off, aa off, lod bias mid = easy 60 fps there (forest area 1). The rest of settings doesn't matter that much. Same settings will drop to 30-40 if bad driver is used.

RX580 is about the same as 1060 https://www.gpucheck.com/compare-game-gpu/monster-hunter-world/amd-radeon-rx-580-vs-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060/intel-core-i7-7700k-4-20ghz-vs-intel-core-i7-6700k-4-00ghz

Get 1660TI or sth if you want to upgrade.
