Lost my saves, Help me pls
Hi, format my PC and I don't have many savegames. Specifically MH had 284 hours and I have already formatted several times and since it is an online game I have never had the need to save any local data, how can MH savegames be lost if it is online?

After seeing many topics of this forum and others I saw that Steam Cloud data is here: https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage

But the only thing I have about MH is two files called slot00 and slot01. slot00 is from June that coincides with the last time I played and slot01 is from October of last year therefore I am not interested since I just started playing there.

The problem is that slot00 occupies only 63.04 KB and I don't know if there can fit a savedata ... Could you help me recover my game with that slot00? Or help me tell me some way please, there must be some way since it is online it is impossible for the data to be deleted.

Thanks.

Whatever slot00 is (I see it in my Steam Cloud account, too) it's unfortunately not the backup you want. If you don't have the SAVEDATA1000 file anywhere, you'll have to start over.

That's why I suggested using a save editor to get your money and gear, then you can blow through the story rapid-fire, then set your HR and experience to the appropriate level, and Bob's your uncle. You can also just start with the "past the story" save file on Nexus. There's also an appearance editor on Nexus that you can use to change the hunter and cat to look how you want.

I've seen some people save edit. Not sure if this is what you want to do, but if all else fails, try that. Just make sure you don't add ridiculous items in without trying.

Use a save editor and mods that let you buy or craft anything. Don't add things directly to your inventory, because there are progress flags that change when you acquire items, and doing so bypasses setting those flags. Therefore, buy or craft the items instead.

I think that you don't understand me... What I mean about "slot00" is not game objects, it is my savegame lost. Since the file size is so small, I don't know if it will be my game or I have lost it permanently. In case of being my game I would like to know how and where.

"slot00" is a file without extension.

fun fact: formatting your drive deletes everything on it. if you don't want to lose data when doing this, back up your important files! hth

Nope. MHW has no form of cheat detection and no means of banning people. At least, none have ever been used, and there's no evidence they exist.
