There's so much content to discover since I've only played 3-4 hours of it but that's the general gist of what I've explored SO FAR.
I'd estimate at least 50-100 hours of gameplay to be 100% finished with everything and maybe more.
I hope this helps.
PS. This was said by the Dev around 8 hours ago in a similar titled thread if you want confirmation
Hello! The sprites are actually mandatory for the main story so yes it excludes the spirtes. But there's many other things as i've stated above ie treasure chests, hidden cats, caves, tunnels, etc
So if you just play the main story you're missing out on 80% of the game.Because the game is about exploration. It's like playing an assassins creed game and only doing main missions and ignoring everything else.
so how long would you estimate the playtime if one wants to 100% or nearly 100% the game ? (like do everything exept finding all collectibles). some more opinions or a dev answer would be great :)
hello guys, I'm back. After about 9 hours of playthrough of the game, I'm sorry to say that the save file tells me I'm already 60-70% through the entire game. Looks like endless hours of fun like stardewvalley isn't what this game is offering.
It make no sence to build all brigdes. You become only 0815 rewards for the collectivequests.
This is not stardew valley or harvest moon where you become very good rewards for colleticquests.
The devs forgot the sence for the quests. 90 % of the sidequests are 0815 with bad rewards...
Next time dear devs pls play games from rivalry and make it better.
Grafic alone dont make a good game. Content make it !
I guess I'm not young enough to keep up with the latest lingo fads. What's 0815?
I think it'd be at least 15 - 20. More depending on what you do.
There are shorter play times reported, but they aren't 100% it. There is also some with a 40 hour play that I don't believe has 100% yet.
You're not alone. I have no idea what that guy's post is even talking about.
If you finish the story and nothing else, it's 6-7 hours. Good luck. :)
I‘m mainly here for checking the playtime of the game and I‘m terribly sorry to dig up this thread.
But as someone from Germany, I feel forced to clear the 0815 thing up. To be honest here, this doesen‘t exist if you communicate in english. 0815, you say in Germany for something not so special, maybe standard stuff, maybe even below standard. Another word would be boring. This guy here who played every sandbox game is from Bavaria in Germany. People from Bavaria, especially from Munich, always think they are some special snowflake. But the reality is dark, his english is horrible.
Anyway. It‘s really hard to find an answer here when it comes to playtime. I have a sealed copy for Switch here but doesen‘t know if I keep it. I‘m one of those gamer who spend a lot of time with optional stuff. I even know someone who finished the new God of War in 10 hours while it took me over 30 hours. Yonder seems to be a similar game. If I focus solely on story, it will be a rather short adventure. But I don‘t plan to rush through the story. Damn, guess I have to try it myself to get the answer here^^
I have now unlocked all achievements, brought all regions to perfection, have planted all the trees, found all the cats in each region and returned them, bought all the Halloween stuff, built up 6 productive farms with all existing animals in pairs including Kirins, cleaned a ton of poop, visited the Troll island, found (pretty much) all the treasure chests, crafted (nearly) everything possible including clothes, fetched the content of the free DLC pack from Maggie, completed missions for NPCs to gain Old Kingdom coins, caught all types of fish, cleared all the murk, opened all sage stone paths, collected all the spirits and star signs, endured listening to the "master joke", accoutred Hipsterious, and completed all the other side quests.
However, please note that nobody "forces" you to attend to boring gameplay activities in Yonder in order to complete your list of achievements.
For one thing, nothing is mandatory, you can simply ignore the achievements. It has already been mentioned that there are no super-great rewards that would make you feel forced to spend a lot of time with gameplay features that you might dislike.
For another thing, you'll unlock lots of achievements en passant and completely effortlessly anyways while playing through the main story.
But most important of all: there is no other game out there that lets you "complete" regions by planting trees. There is no other game that lets you collect super-cute tiny cats that are strewn all over the game world ;) There is no other game that centers on cleaning murk and collecting spirits.
You are clearly told that Yonder is a "sandbox game" from the very beginning, since the shop page lists all the typical sandbox features that Yonder has to offer, plus more. Yes, the game has a story narrative too, and like you might know from any RPG out there, it doesn't take too long to play through just the main story if you don't dally with side quests
However, after that you can freely spend your time to tend to the sandbox content and complete achievements. If you feel stuck or can't find the "last" missing something (fish, cat, whatever) for the sake of completion, then you can just browse through the very nice Yonder Wiki on gamepedia.
I for my part was quite happy about all this additional game content, since I loved spending time in the beautiful game world that changes its look with every season and time of day. The music is pleasant too, so I just love to run around and enjoy the scenery, even if there's nothing more to achieve :)
Hi I don't know if you're still looking for hours of fun like stardew valley but if you are then I'd advise giving coral island a try. In my opinion it's like stardew valley but better even better. I finished yonder and it all seemed kind of shallow.
