Lost Save Data?
I have put loads of hours into this game, unlocked all of the book, made all of the homunculi, and then when I booted up the game, my save data was back to when I first started???

How could this happen? Is there a save option I missed? Is there a way to regain that time? This is very distressing, I was near the end and... I want to finish this game but idk if I can start all over... help me please

Hi Drayle88,

It's so sad to hear what happen to you. We need you to check something to determine what type of error that may be occurred.

Can you go to the following folder
(If you are using Windows)
C:\Users\"username"\AppData\LocalLow\GameChanger Studio\My Lovely Daughter
(If you are using Mac)
~/Library/Application Support/GameChanger Studio/My Lovely Daughter/

Is there a folder that is named "0" that contain save.dat? If so you probably have a duplicate saved file.

There's supposed to be one other folder which name is consist of "17 number" (example: 71261348112337332) that contain save.dat. If you started your game from Steam, than the saved file will stored here.

A folder that is named 0 contains a saved file in which you played the game by directly double clicking the exe file (not using steam).

We don't know which one is the latest saved file, so we wanted you to BACKUP both save.dat file.

First, you open the game using steam. if your game progress is not there, then you close the game. and go to the next step.

Second, you copy your saved.dat file (make sure you already have a back up) from "0" folder to the "17 Number" folder. And after that, you run the game again from the steam. Hopefully, it will have progress in which that you already played.
