Full screen

I put it on full screen in the options menu, now when I start the game it goes to full and goes black.
Nothing, just my cursor. Won't do anything, Windows key won't work, gotta press CAD to restart my laptop.
Tried reinstalling it and it does't work.
Is there any way I can set it back to windowed screen, without the game menu options?

One of the function keys will switch between partial and full screen, I think.

Go to installation folder of the game,
<YourDrive>:\Steam\steamapps\common\Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana
There should be "settings.ini" where you can adjust screen.

WindowMode=2

0: Fullscreen
1: Windowed
2: Borderless Fullscreen

Or you can just delete the entire file to re-initialize screen & graphic settings of the game from scratch.

Unfortunately it didn't work.
Are there any files left over after I uninstall it?
If I uninstall it and get rid of any left over files would that work?
It comes up, the screen looks like it's gonna load for just a second, and then goes black, with just the use of my cursor.

That's what I ended up doing and it works.
Sucks because I was about 10 hours into it.
Oh well I don't mind starting it over.
