Just Dana(?)

I see some people here talking about how perfect waifu super ultra amazing Dana is. And I will be honest with you all...I like this. But, is Dana so perfect like Monika from DDLC?

So, when I play Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, will I be like this? "Just Dana".

I also saw a mod on nexus having you play with Dana and Gratika and Luminous forms on the same party, named NG+ EX Dana.

Does this game even have NG+? If so, that would be interesting.

Yes there is NG+ and no, you can only add dana to the party in later half of the game, you can control her during her story segment in first half

Just because Dana is among the best waifu doesn't mean there aren't any other waifus left in the game. In fact for some people, they dislike Dana thinking she's too Mary Sue or stuff like that. And while Dana can be your ideal girl, but Laxia should be your ideal wife. You want to be in prison? Then we have .... and ... and ..... .Milf? There is... A bit of strong taste? There is also one for your need as well and more. Whoever you like depends entirely on your taste.

Yes there is New Game+ with options to pick as well (keeping level, items, etc. like that).

I don't really mind the Mary Sue concept so long as it is executed well and it is at least bit of justified. Will check the others out, too, the milf part intrigues me, but I still think I am going to stick to Dana. lmao

Ah yes that one, I'm using it. Nevertheless, the mod is not updated to the latest i.e you cannot use it with current build of the game.

If you want to use it, you will have to use previous_version available in BETA branch. However, that version is before the major performance & stability update (1/17). Therefore you might encounter crashes (NVIDIA users), minor glitches such as achievements not counted without using controller, weird menu tint color, etc. The previous_version isn't that bad per se, it is playable, if current version is great, it should be considered good. Your choice.

p.s: you will need to use the mod along with cheat engine as well, because Dana forms after certain event their stats will be reset to base stats (the author couldn't make the game to remember it).

Hah, no, I really like this idea but even I am not a fan of that and I wouldn't want to amputate my own self just for a mod. With that said, I may think if I will CE my way through as I always want to enjoy the games purely the way they were meant to be played. The only times I used CE on games were if something was broken/very cheap and unfair to deal with to the point of annoying me but had to be done in order to progress. Thanks for the answer.

When I mentioned about CE I didn't ask you to cheat, but only to preserve your Dana forms' stats so that you could play and enjoy the mod as intended. Because it would really suck when you train yourself up to let's say level 30, but after one cutscene it is reduced to 1, and all of Dana forms deal 1 dmg... Oh and, another fun thing is that... using CE you could speed up the game (feels like Turbo in DMC) if you want xD.

That would be nice actually, turbo mode lol. I will see how I find the game's pacing and maybe I'll try out a table. Thanks.

Sara, ain't that the truth. I've played Ys VIII back when it came out. Got the Collector's Edition for the PS4. Played through it. Fell in love. Played it again. Then got the Switch's Collector's Edition. Also got all the cloth wall scrolls NISA had sold at that point. Even got a Adol & Dana cloth wall scroll which is one of my treasures (Adol and Dana looks soooo gooood. Dana looks so happpyyy~). And now I'm here again for the PC version.

And yes, there are so many lovelies men and women in this story. Although my favorite is obviously Dana and then Laxia. But MILF? xDD She's definitely act more like an older sister even though she's a MILF.

That's weird, because last time I went back to current version, the mod went obsolete, and if I tried to reapply the mod again the game would go blackscreen

OK, something to keep in mind and test it more then. I do hope that it will be eventually fully tested and updated, if necessary, with the newest update.
