the name alone kinda makes me scaptical of this port

after the Criminal Girls mess i ended up skipping all of there pc releasses
but this is YS one of my most beloved series
ill keep my eyes open for news regarding this port and hope for the best.

since most want an T rateing as then they can sell more copys, since M rated is more towards more mature audiences.

Which, really isn't a censor job. Some people would be sticklers and argue it is.

What would count as a censor job in my book would be if they took out the whole segment and cut to where she's clothed and starts talking to Adol. Or if they changed it so that she is clothed when they first meet and she's the one to smack Adol's sword out of his hand (just so it'd make more sense that he'd have his back turned to her while she mutters). Or worse yet, if they changed it so that he still smacks her sword out of her hand, but she's clothed the entire time.

What would be a potential edit that's also NOT a censor job, would be if they changed it so that she smacks Adol's sword out of his hand but is still only wearing a towel or naked. Though honestly I'd actually kinda prefer that. lol

Regardless, pretty much any of these options means more work, and I doubt people want to bother doing more work when they could just get away with doing nothing.

The camera zoom idea seems to require the least effort, of all the different possibilities I named, so if there's any change, I'd expect that.

And I'd argue that's actually more in keeping with the general character of the Ys series, rather than throwing the Accidental Pervert trope at Adol. (Unless you consider the "Measure" achievements to be canon...)

It's an Ys game, it'll be fine. Also, being an Ys game, who gives a ♥♥♥♥ about lore and ♥♥♥♥? They could translate it to be a barney game and I wouldn't care as long as the game play stays the same.

Plus, I don't know why there's so much love for XSEED though. Their releases always have issues, and their patch history has been pretty ♥♥♥♥ lately.

it runs like trash compared to the wii emulator ver at least before the patchs

compared to NISA they have a history of releasing games with bugs that damages your system

This ^ plus XSEED also support a no censoring ideology and even welcome mod support of any kind (besides character ages in senran) unlike NISA who censors games HEAVILY like they did to mugen souls z = 120+ cg images removed and a whole minigame removed.

Xanadu Next is a hot mess that they gave up on, and the Ys games had several annoying bugs and glitches, especially when it came to achievements (they mostly fixed up the Ys games though). And their Little King's Story port was an absolute disaster.

They are good translators, but they are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when it comes to everything else.

sorry to say censorship isnt always about females and all that, sometimes scenes are removed for various other reasons.
among some censorship is region specific censorship, as to where they ban games fully or have specifics removed, this sadly happens an bit.

due to austrellia banning the game, the game was halted from release intill it was deemed to be sold there.
this set the games release further back world wide till the ban was lifted as alterations were made.
