Can't Play This Game

For starters, the game won't launch until I delete the two splash videos in the game's files. And even when it does launch, Character Creation doesn't work. I get taken to a weird bugged out screen after setting my difficulty and options. I took screenshots and saved them to my Steam account. I have validated files and made sure that Steam, Windows, and my GeForce Experience (GPU) drivers are at their latest.

I noticed in Obsidian's forums for this game that this exact bug was reported to them last November, and it appears that nothing has been done to fix it. But if anyone has any way to get around this, I'm all ears.

Solved it by contacting the game support:
This issue is likely happening because you are using Windows 10 N, which lacks the Media Feature Pack. To resolve this issue, you can download the feature pack at this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/mediafeaturepack

It works just fine now :)

I have Windows N, but when I try to install that, I get error: The update is not applicable to your computer.

I found the problem! So, for people who have Windows N, you have to go to Settings->Apps & Features->Optional Features->Add a feature, and install the Media Feature Pack that way. I tried doing it through Microsoft's website and it only lets you install the media pack version up to 1909. Going through your system menus lets you get past this. It fixed my ability to play this game ^.=.^

I still don't get why microsoft dint allow me to update Media Feature Pack through their website and had to use such a obscure way to bypass the update.

how did you find it in windows? i cant find it in my settings
