No, because, one, it requires confirmation, and I'm definitely not doing that, and two, when you scrap something, the other items move over and fill that spot. For the gun, I just had an empty slot in the middle of all my other weapons. I did manage to find my oldest save that still had the gun, so I loaded that to get it back, but I still lost a couple of hours of progress.
I'm not sure what happens if they get to 0%, as I always repair or replace stuff once it gets to around 50%... If it gets to 0% it could be classed as destroyed maybe?
No, I'm not an idiot. I'm not scrapping or not repairing my stuff. For one, the damage or armor falls off so much as the durability drops that I keep it repaired. For another, I keep saying that I had these gaps in the inventory screen with my weapons/armor. As in, just a spot in the middle of all of my other items that was open. Whenever you sell or scrap something, the gap where the item used to be is closed by all your other items shifting over. It's definitely a bug, because otherwise those gaps wouldn't be left there.
