well technically those are two different releases... but yeah. got the humble bundle.... tried to play that version for the dlcs aaaaand seeing how i struggled to get 40 frames i just uninstalled it and bought the expansion pass for the og game on sale. way better xD

So what does the Humble key give us, exactly?

If I'm only interested in the original version, is there some benefit in redeeming the key?

Is there a considerable discount for "completing the collection" and buying the other stuff? Or am I just better off not using it so I can trade/give it away?

It gives you the full version of the Spacers Choice version, not the upgrade, nothing including the original game. So no complete collection discount. If you're only interested in the original release, there is no benefit to redeeming the key.

Trade it for some funds towards the original.

It includes the base game AND.... So yes, it DOES include the base game. It also says it's the Spacers Choice version, nowhere does it say you can simply play the base game with nothing else installed. Why would anyone think it includes an executable for JUST the base game upon reading the... oh... that's why! Did NOT read! Solution: READ!

the humble version was only spacers choice. and does not include the original game. apologies if i worded the title poorly.

Yup, I sadly just bought the original and all DLC today. Remastered is nice, but like most new games can't handle high consistent FPS with adequate hardware. It lags and stutters because of the inconsistent frames, etc. Original runs way better, colors are just washed out. frames x2 -x3 better, runs even better with some minor config tweaks and dxvk-gplasync to fix stutters caused by shader compiling. the original does run loads better. you made the right choice..and the updated version doesn't look good enough imo to justify the worse performance.
