Lucky's safe only open's a crack, not giving you the contents (Preserved Eye)

While playing the "The Ones Who Walk Away From Gorgon" quest for the Gorgon DLC, going to the Sprat Shack, you go to Lucky's room on the 3rd floor and read his notes on his desk. One note gives you the combination to his safe. Hovering your cursor over the safe, you get the message "Open Safe with Code". I click on the safe, it opens a crack, but does not give me the contents list to grab the "Preserved Eye", allowing you to continue on with the quest.

I have tried reloading from the start of the entire Gorgon quest line. I have reloaded saves just before reading the notes and opening the safe. I have even changed my resolution to see if that made a difference. Next I will stick around for 10 minutes to see if the eye respawns over time.

Anyone else experience this?

It seems, that almost everyone had to face it. Please look in the "Bug and Issues" - here you will find already some complains since November

If you are using cheats or trainers,including WeMod, turn them off to get the contents of the safe
